Mmm, pretty annoyed
My SGS2 started playing up in early August, it thought there was something plugged into the USB port all the time, so the charging animation would start and you couldn't use the USB at all even though there was nothing plugged in to it.
Sent it off to Three for repair, it was finally returned nearly four weeks later with no fault found. Within an hour or so of getting it back, had the same problem again. So returned to Three again on Monday, got a message from them today saying it was fixable but not covered under warranty
Just phoned them and they say their repair team (Regenersis?) are saying there was liquid damage to the USB port. I'm pretty annoyed as I'm always really careful with my phone, and I'm very particular about not using it in the rain for this very reason. I also use a flip case so the USB port is covered all the time except when in use or charging.
Its £35 to fix, which I've agreed to as I want the phone back asap, but have raised a complaint with Three about this. First I'm querying the diagnosis, although I doubt I'll get too far with that. However, my main gripe is why did they have the phone for nearly four weeks the first time I returned it, and yet didn't find a fault during that time?
