I don't think it's supposed to do that, as otherwise people could jump into a round at a much higher wave than they have ever reached.
What did happen with my first game of Horde though was that the host left the game, so it tried to migrate. However once it did so, it dropped us back seven waves and all our defences were gone, along with our score. That was pretty annoying and then everyone quit.

But seriously you get further and further, starts getting harder and harder, so ppl leave making it even harder and the players arent replaced :/
I'd happily join into any game that was at or below my highest but with no chance to be dragged to a higher wave.
You can't get past those without destroying the box and/or disk. Take it back.
Goddamn annoying. Just grabbed a screwdriver and ripped the box to shreds. Will just use another box when trading it, thanks though chief!

Just gave 3D a try for the hell of it though as a rule I'm against 3D so I'm quite biased.
It works but the effect isn't too good, it's like looking at one of those kids pop-up books where everything is in layers. Plus it murders the resolution as the Xbox has to display two frames at once so you lose a lot of the fidelity.
Anyone else finding matchmaking slow and tedious at the moment? Last night was amazing, guessing more people have bought it today which is probably what brought XBL to it's knees earlier.
Looks like it's Gears 2 multiplayer all over again if you're playing with randoms. Grr.

The horde timeout is a joke. You only get about 60 secs. I went for a wee and got kicked off for not participating. Unfortunately I am using a wired controller so couldn't take it to the bog with me to prevent the timeout.
