Amanda Knox and her Ex found guilty of the Murder of Medredith Kercher

it annoys me that the kerchief family are getting so upset by all this, after all they have the killer in custody already, knox and her bf are innocent they have been acquitted by a court so we all must stop speculating and accept that justice has been done

Yep and I just don't get this forgotten thing. Se hasn't been forgotten at all.
This whole thing is silly. In fact it's the complete opposite. If there wasnt this court case, no one would be talking about it, it would be forgotten by the masses. Just like 99.9% of murders are never remembered by the masses.

4 years in prison and people think she should be grateful and give money out. 4 years of her life gone, that she can never get back.

I implied nothing other than perhaps the wealth that will follow should be shared with the Kerchers.

why, if Knox et. al. have been proven not to be involved why should they give the Kerchers anything ? Seriously if I had spent a few years in an Italian nick for something I never did, I;d take all the money I could get and run.

thats a serious question also and not a troll post....

Kercher family starting to annoy me - yesterday they said they would accept the verdict made by the court but today they are back to whining and shocked that they were released.

If I get murdered I hope my family don't act like that.

They're hardly whining and tbh... two people who might well have had a hand in thier daughter's death (one of whom lied several times during the course of the investigation/trail and even tried to pin it on an innocent bar manager) have been released... not too surprising they'd be upset.

Justice has been done, whether she commited the crime or not is irrellevant.
There was reasonable doubt that she and her boyfriend did it and has rightly been set free.

Well they have a killer in custody. Much of the original case against AK and RS was down to the hypothesis that the killing could not have been carried out by one person. That's what the official court report from the original trial says.

If that much is true, Guede had accomplices that are currently free.

If I were Meredith's family I would want closure - and justice.

Personally I'm not aware of any evidence that proves that Guede didn't act alone. The main reason it's not case closed with the perp serving a 30 year sentence is that the investigation was run by a criminally negligent, incompetent fantasist in charge of a systematically poor team. That's why the family don't have answers.

Not my point at all. They say one thing before the trial along the lines of "we believe in the Italian court system and we will accept their verdict" and when it doesn't go their way they go back to wanting a guilty verdict. Pick one.

Thyats wild conjecture, there was no solid proof offered by the prosecution that coudl without any reasonable doubt keep them locked up, if there was their appeal would have been unsuccessful and Knox would still be rotting in an italian prison.

YOu come back with solid proof and facts rather than media inspired garbage then you have got a case, everything else is now irrelevant. Thats the whole point of the judicial system, you burn away everything untill you are left with the facts and facts equate to truth. Bottom line they didn't have any conclusive facts taht lead them to their so called truth in the first place and hence why knox is now free.

Guede needs to spill what really happened that night then, as it stands he is the sole killer. If he is innocent or was other parties involved then he needs to speak.

They were pretty dignified in today's press conference, although they hinted that they thought the acquittal was on a technicality. Generally they've stuck to the line of respecting the decision. Meredith's dad (who wasn't there) has been quoted as disagreeing a bit more strongly.

Technicality of no evidence.

This is why victims or people close to victims are and should be ignored. They have a vested interest combined with emotion. Can't blame them, it's just their views are irrelevant.

Not at all, its all part of the game.

After experiencing the corruption of the UK justice system first hand, I'm more convinced than ever that many cases are games to these people (police, solicitors, barristers, judges). It's like they have their own little world where they all know each other and the civilians are used as pawns - it's all about who knows who, back scratching, barristers too scared to say something because it rub a judge up the wrong way (because they know what he's like) so luck plays a massive part on which judge you get.

Then you might get a lawyer who wants to make a name for themselves and perhaps wants a "big result" on a high profile case... and can turn into a ****ing contest with the rest of us paying the price.

I didn't say there was..

Well yes quite

But not having solid proof that she did doesn't negate her being likely to have had involvement and its hardly unexpected that the family are upset.

They just want to find out what happened tbh... tis hardly shocking that the family of a murdered girl would be upset after the complete farce involved in this trial from the police not handling evidence well, the family of one of the accused creating a big media storm and one of the accused lying several times, changing her story and even blaming an innocent man for the crime(the deffamation conviction against knox still stands FWIW and she had repeated the false allegation in a written statement the next day
not just in the 'interrogation' by italian police.)

The Knox prosecution, overseen by Mignini, had problems from the beginning. Knox claimed that Italian authorities interviewed her for a grueling 53 hours over four days.

An Italian Supreme Court reportedly upheld her claims, saying police did not read Knox her legal rights, appoint her a lawyer or even provide an interpreter in Italian.

I just read this for the first time. 53 hours in 4 days  No wonder she was making up false stories!
