I kind of agree with the android home screen being pointless though, i'd rather turn it on and have a list of apps there, but most android users are nerds and they want a tool bar to toggle wifi/3g, battery info and the weather etc:p The main thing that annoys me is the huge centre screen clock, this must be like a backup in case you forget theres a smaller one in the top right of the screen!

You could install Espier launcher off the market, just gives you shortcuts too all applications and a very similar folder setup to the iPhone.
 
That's getting really popular of late!

A solution to Android users who don't like tweaking? Have the same experience of the iPhone but with Android goodness.

It is actually a fairly good Launcher, some nice features :)

I just loaded the kitchen in Leomar and noticed new updates, a lot of new themes so if one of them is the battery theme I posted in the thread then I might not upgrade to checkrom as that was really the only reason I was going to upgrade for because Leomar is 2.3.5 anyway. Maybe the other kernel/batt tweaks could be good too though.
 
Can anyone let me know if it is possible to use the default browser full screen, going from a HTC phone it seems mad that I waste a part of the screen on the status bar when I'm using the browser.
 
Try Opera Mobile and turn off the two bars in settings. As for the stock browser, I don't think you can do that but mine does disappear when the page is loaded iirc.
 
Is there a hdmi out cable to display phone content on a tv?Also how does it work can you actually just use the phone like normal through the tv, or will it only display certain file types(images,audio,vids)?

Samsung MHL Adapter - its mirrors exactly whats on the phone :)

I was in the same position - I know use Miren browser for full screen browsing.
 
CheckROM been running since last night, all seems fine, just as swift as Leomar 2.7.1 but with the updated Kitchen app and power widget bits. So far so good!

Have calibrated battery and will report back in 2~ days after I see how much power draw this ROM has.
