Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Still getting "Game got disconnected" "Could not join server" "Lost connection to server" etc. from battlelog. Getting thoroughly peeved off at these issues. Only workaround at the moment is to play with UPNP and that's wifi; I'm playing through ethernet on a solid connection (10-20ms ping on the servers I try and join)

From the looks of the problem forums, I'm not the only one who can't play this game, and EA are still doing nothing at all about it. It's coming close to driving me to buying MW3 out of sheer frustration

Just finished single player thought it was fantastic. Even the interactive cut scenes. The music and gun sounds are simply outstanding.

either they remove it which seems unlikely or it stays as it is.
its a minor nuance that get rid of camping noobs.
people cant just camp anymore.
 
Anyone else found that sometimes the sound seems to cut out to an extent? A few times when a lot of things have been going on I can't hear my gun fire but can hear some explosions and such. It's as if the computer can't multitask enough :p
 
Noticed something weird when i launch the game for the first time everyday, it takes 3 trys to get into a game the 1st try crashes game 2nd I loose connection to server and on the 3rd I get into the game. It weird but it does it every time i launch the game for the first time each day.

First game of the day for me always ends up with the "bf3.exe is not responding" error, today was different, it booted to a black screen. :confused: :rolleyes:
 
Only just realised that the weedy sounding beep noise that occasionally plays during BF3 is actually the battlelog browser message sound, and NOT the weedy sounding beep that some hard discs make when they are telling you they are going to die. That threw me.
 
Is anyone else noticing mroe deaths where you get behind cover yet still get shot like you're in the open? Had three or 4 of them today at least =/
 
Just encountered my first server annoyance:

Player on other team: "DJ_Judas go **** yourself"
Me: "Why may I ask lol?"
Other player on opposite team: "Because he said so"

Then I was promptly kicked :(

All because I prevented them from winning the previous game of Rush and got our team off to a great start in the following game. I never really encountered that sort of thing on previous BF games, maybe all of EAs marketing to bring in the masses has muddied the player pool somewhat.

Think I'll try and stick to TFU and OcUK servers from now on.

Can't half tell its the weekend with the derp kiddies online. Hopefully some of them will be filtered out when this years reskin of cod is available on Tuesday.

Its the same nonsense from before with the hit detection being client side. If your behind cover on your screen but the person shooting at you has lag and shoots before you get there it goes in their favour. The bug from beta where you spot someone with Q and you can shoot them through their cover seems to still be there too, at least on the outdoor maps.
 
Well I have to say, Been playing since release.

First day or two I was really fixed, Loved everything about the game! Amazing gfx, great sound. But now, Its just boring, same old crap. I think the honeymoon period has warn off and i've seen it for what it is! A bit poo :(

I'm a massive Battlefield fan, Love all of them, inc Bfbc2 but this, its just...... ****
 
To those guys having problems today, i have also been getting Battlefield.exe has stopped working, also takes second try to get into a game.Usually get it when scoreboard timer ends after the round and goes to black screen.

Been playing on the bronken server on and of most of the day.
