BF3 is not the perfect game.

HOWEVER....

imo, BF3 has perfected what Crysis began with this generation of hardware - it is the most cohesive, immersive, and technically advanced shooter of its generation. The Audio and Video blend coherently enough to provide the most advanced FPS war experience to date.

That there are miles to go and many flaws to correct show us how much more innovation is needed in this genre.

Agreed. The game is great but in is ridiculously unreliable.

Really? Iv just unlocked it for the engineer and had a quick blast, didnt seem all that special.

Maybe I need to unlocked some attachements for it.

Wuth assualt, all I want is a rds, but so far only thing I have is the scopes. Im terrible scoped in.

Can you get normal rds for assualt?

I get game has closed on startup all day today now, out of the blue. It was fine for the last few days. It's just completely random.

Enemy Territory was better and that was free.

And RTCW was better than ET

Let's be fair though, BF3 is a very different game. Less about aiming and movement skill and more about the spectacle and carnage of war!

I get 'battlefield 3 has stopped working' every time I launch multiplayer for the first time, but then it works continuously until I exit chrome.

So i just use the MAV now, safe in the home base, and cruseing miles above the battlefield just spamming Q

I haven't played a lot of Recon, but that's pretty much what I do as well. MAV spotting and a little bit of counter-sniping seem to be the main achievable goals for Recon, which is sad.

I've tried using the SOFLAM but it's a bit useless. The lens and laser glare are so bad they may as well scream "HEY LOOK AT ME, I'M OVER HERE!!1!!" to the entire server. It never seems to last long enough for the Javelin guy in my squad to get a lock on, and if you deploy it farther back the vehicles are usually out of lock on range.

Sticking to 32 man servers is making the game a little more enjoyable for me. 64 player matches are just a farce on most of the maps. Thats a sad state of affairs though, I could have bought it on console for that.

As regards to battlefield 3, (as previously stated by someone else) It is far from perfect. Graphically it's pretty nice, game play is ok, the mini map needs work *IMO. After a few patches and refinements, who knows it could well be damn good, again IMO.

Why is everyones accuracy on this game so low? Pretty much everyone on my friends list has an accuracy of <10%. I dont believe that only about 6 or 7 rounds out of a hundred that people are firing are hitting an enemy. Do you think it is bugged or are people really embracing the suppressing fire system?

On a side note, I had a look to see who has the highest accuracy in the world. Turns out its this guy: http://bf3s.com/player/367590922

Safe to say that he is a hacker, I mean 246 kills with the M416 and 242 of those are headshots. I didnt really believe that so many people were using hacks untill I looked at this. Beggers belief that people would spend 30 quid on a game to do this 2 weeks after launch. Must have money to burn.

Yes you can get Red Dot Sigh for assault, for the A-91 I use grip, PK-A sight and suppress its a killing machine

Mine's working fine now Although I could do with a PC upgrade..

I cant seem to use assault rifles for love nor money, I seem to get shot to bits by people with Scars (maybe they recoil less) and changing to single shot firing seems to be just as ineffective.

Your using assault rifles in the wrong way. The lower level ones suffer from low rates of fire compared with other carbines and smgs. Attempt to go toe to toe with these guns and you will lose.

You need to either a) position yourself somewhere so that you can engage them at range and put your assault rifles superior range to good use

Or

B) use another gun like a shotgun or maybe the pp2000 until you unlock the faster assault rifles like te f2000

Don't ask me, i'm not at University. My partner is doing her PhD and when marking and teaching, she is told to accept "your" and a few other words like that.

That's some whacky standards.

Aside from it being evidence that someone didn't proof read their thesis I was of the understanding that contraction of words for example "you're" should not be done in papers and the full words "you are" should be used.
