I have a PS3 and don't have any of these problems.
Fat or slim?

I'd like to try the Xbox version and see if it happens on that.
You can find transmute tomes / spells as well, I found one which does ore to silver or gold
Fat or slim?
Slim, got it last christmas (160GB)
Is yours fat?
Yeah tis, got it when GTAIV came out. Did I read that I could install to the HD for PS3? Might try that later if I can. Will also pop over to my Dad's place and try it on his slim.
Does it all respawn or once missing from the environment, has it gone for good?
If it goes, then I won't do this. I used to hate this in Oblivion, if you took stuff and it never re-appeared the places just started looking silly and devoid of anything.

I just jumped straight in and thought I was playing Oblivion to be honest!
EDIT: I haven't tried it! I just saw it posted somewhere with a video. Do shopkeeps always have the same stuff on the counters etc? Never really noticed! I guess, since they can be stolen the correct way, they would respawn?
It should auto install to the hard drive on startup of the game, mine did?

Has anyone killed a dragon before, absorbed the soul and then it's said you need a dragon soul to unlock a new shout? Not sure if it's a bug.
Don't know about the shop spawning mechnics in Skyrim. Guess you could steal it then just use the wait function to pass a few days (3-5 I guess).
If it doesn't respawn just reload to the save before you started the stealling.
Can you be in more than one guild?
I'm currently in Companions and the Dark Brotherhood guild at the same time, so don't see why not...
in theif guild as warrior atm ..lolHas anyone killed a dragon before, absorbed the soul and then it's said you need a dragon soul to unlock a new shout? Not sure if it's a bug.
Yep, happened to me yesterday.
I got my first shout and all that, but killed my second dragon before I learned any new shouts. When I tried to unlock a second shout, I thought that I would have had an extra sould absorbed and I'd be able to immediately unlock it.
I got the same as you, so it seems you need to learn the shout words, then kill a dragon and absorb it's soul to unlock the shout.
