***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

Hi,

Sorry guys, seems this is bugged. First time I created a Facebook log in via Accounts & Sync I did have a menu function once I was logged in. Have not been able to get this to come back up.

Even removed the account and Facebook app but still won't bring up the option menu.

I can however create a Facebook account and these are the screen shots showing that:-

Create Account - Account & Sync

Select Facebook - takes you to Facebook Log In

First time I did it. Menu button was as shown below. Can't get it to show up again though.

FriendCaster seems to be working ok though.

Definitely something either facebook or google need to look into. Quite annoying really.

That is a shame, got really used to swype on the galaxy s :( Is there a way we can get swype onto the nexus?

I explored a little and signed up for the swype beta. I get an unsupported display resolution error when trying to install it though.

Hmm.. pretty sure I read it as the 2nd of Dec or something, but anyone know if o2 have these in their stores yet? Cheers...

one thing i have noticed with the SGN is when the brightness is near its lowest level, the phone appears a little grainy. Its hard to explain but it looks just as if theres a protective screen on the screen, if you know what i mean?

yeah i know, i don't think the screen is as vibrant as my SGS2, but the text and web reading is clearer and better

For people waiting for an official VF release, here's what I've managed to find out thus far:

-- because it's a google phone, VF won't be customising the ROM (Source = VF forums).

-- they will however be putting a VF ROM on them that has APN settings in it (Source = VF forums)

-- on history, Google Dev phones from VF have had the same ROM treatment as above. So it should be VF free with Google updates on release. The exception is the NexusOne, as it wasn't technically a Dev phone (Source = VF forums).

-- VF are bug fixing all the mentioned bugs. (Source = VF forums)

-- VF are waiting for a Google update to fix the bugs (Source = Some news site)

-- VF are waiting till the QuidCo/TopCashBack deal runs out tomorrow.

Some of its contradictory, but those are the VF rumors I've read upto now.
Hope it helps someone...
