***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

They're saying that without any hard evidence or proof.

All the various posts over at XDA indicate that this IS a hardware issue (the bootloader Youtube video kinda shows this). Lots of hardware issues can be fixed by using software workarounds. This is what I think Google is doing with this "software fix".

Just because they said they can fix it by using a software patch, doesn't mean it's not a hardware fault, which seems to be what Clove have gone to assume.

I have trouble believing it is a hardware issue, the only way I can think of why the volume control can be affected by RF is that the RF is coupling onto the volume control line and the modulated RF is then causing the signal to bang high then low.

If that is the case the the control line has to be long enough for an 800MHz signal to couple to it and if it could then theres nothing stopping an 1800MHz signal coupling to it.

Luckily I am on Orange so I havent had any problems with my phone and am really liking it.

Aye, I'm just using the trial for now which works great. I'm sure there'll be more options in the future though, someone said that Android has native support for it but I'm yet to try that.

FLAC & MKV support have been native in Samsung handsets for a while because they modded the music / video player, some others did this as well but Samsung nailed it really.

You can also set the duration of the light, along with notification sounds and also a choice of length and type of vibrate for each notification.

Absolutely brilliant app.

Nice tip, thanks. Also, has anyone been able to change the text message tone away from the defaults? I can do it for ringtones, but not texts?

huh? I was asked if I'd got a nexus yet, and I said no with my reason. Stop being so touchy, it's an internet forum where i'm allowed to express my opinion, so jog on.

"Fabio Bonassi - Could you specify if is an Hardware problem or a software problem?"

lets see if they respond to that.

I don't lose at all, no-one seems fully satisfied withtheir Nexus, much batter to wait until early next year when the new gen of ICS phones are released with better features than this one imo.

For the record, I'm fully satisfied. Not noticed any bugs yet, best device available by far.

Makes me chuckle all these folk coming in to this thread to say they wont buy... sure, your loss.

Ditto.

I have a GS2, iphone 4 and 4S to compare the Nexus against too.

Has anyone got one of these on O2 contract?

I am currently on a simplicity £15pm contract which passed it's 12mnth mark quite a while ago.

But the O2 contracts are looking like a joke on their site, the only way to dodge a down payment on the phone is with the £50+pm one.

My mate has tried to tempt me over to Three before, but with their more reasonable pricing for this I might end up going.

Then again, I am foreveralone.jpg and hardly use my minutes so I might just switch back to topups and wait for this to drop in price :p
