Kitten microwaved to death!

Justifying/watering down a wrong with another wrong is flawed logic, it also makes you come across as not caring or that bothered by this hanus crime, this says a lot about you and is a bit worrying to be honest!!

This woman deliberately and consciously put a kitten into a microwave where it experienced a unbelievably painful and horrendous death, the outrage here is FULLY justifiable and it is very worrying that even a few people seem indifferent/uncaring to this disgusting inhuman action!!

I suggest that people who are not sickened/upset by this seek professional help!!

I do care, I think its disgusting...

more my point is that all those who think this woman should be injured, seriously hurt or even killed because of her actions must also agree that someone who spends their days squeezing toothpaste into the eyes of monkeys or destroying acres of forests a day in their bulldozer should also be injured, hurt or killed?

In some ways what they do is worse than microwaving an animal in a fit of rage...you could argue that she was at least under the influence of heightened emotion and not thinking straight.

I watched a video once (a sight that I'll never forget) showing people skinning animals alive for their fur. they smacked the animal into the ground a few times to stun it and then skin it alive (killing it would damage the fur I assume) and then they throw the now-skinless animal on the floor behind them to die slowly and painfully.

You telling me they arent worse?

Id say they are on par. The mis treatment of animals by some people in the world is horrendous. It was only this morning I was treated to a wonderful array of pictures of some stunnings whales being beached and having their spinal cords cut.

But if everyone so clearly understands that it is disgusting behaviour, as people are implying, then who is the rage helping? If that is the case, then it's redundant.

Who says an internet response has to help anyone? Are you seriously suggesting that anyone with a strong opinion about this should try helping in a tangible fashion rather than simply expressing themselves (albeit inappropriately in some cases) on a public forum? The internet sadly makes it all too easy to be disgusted and horrified without any obligation to do anything else. 30 years ago the consensus of opinion would have probably been largely the same except expressed in whispers over a garden fence, so what has changed?

Bemoaning this attitude and then doing nothing yourself other than to point out the painfully obvious point that internet rage solves nothing is as bad, surely? Help people become better by attacking the root cause. I'm having a light-hearted dig I know. I can't see why you would expect anything other than what has been posted to happen..or perhaps I'm too cynically desensitised to care?

I can find a thread that will talk about aliens too, would you like me to present that to you as a logical reference to why aliens are real?

Prisons aren't a nice place.

They aren't supposed to be nice places. And places that aren't supposed to be nice should not have xboxes and copies of skyrim.

I actually have no problem with them having consoles nor gaming on them, they're still locked up and away from the rest of society. Which is what prison is? It's removing problems from society and managing them in a more suitable environment.

Prisons still aren't nice places.

36,000 prisoners allowed consoles

*pwned again*

maybe do your own research next time instead of trying to look cool and laughing at others,
and before you try and backtrack, it was you that implied that console use was false.

That would suggest that the majority (two thirds) of the prisoners don't have access to these?

No, I won't back track, the idea that prison life is easy, spending all day lounging about playing on your brand new xbox 360 title is false. Prison isn't like that.

That wasn't what you said though, I said she might well spend 6 months in prison with an xbox, you said that was false and laughable.
Clearly some prisoners do have consoles, ergo my post was factually correct.

I made no mention in my post of whether prison life was easy or not, I'm quite aware that it's a horrible place to be, I was merely indicating to Von that its perceived sanction was considerably less than public crucifixion by forum rage.

Unless you have an on topic point, maybe you could find another thread instead of digging at my post which wasn't in reply to you.

It is laughable that she's going to prison to spend her sentence playing on a games console.

Prison is a horrible place, prison isn't easy and painting a picture of convicts sat around chilling on their consoles in false. You also provided two links, one laughable and the other pointing out that the majority of the people locked up in this country don't have a console.

Either way, I don't see how this is any more off topic then yourself and the comment you made :) touche.

I however, will stop replying.
