The Walking Dead Season 2.

I personally think Shane is the best so far, I really like his darker side and things should be interesting between him and Rick, Dale and Andrea now I reckon.

I also don't get why Hershel is so against them staying, not like their all in the same house together or completely disrespecting him and the rest, obeying his rules so far, which IMO are pretty much too much i.e. all guns to be handed over as Rick and Shane said what happens if a herd of walkers come to the farm at night when their sleeping or the walkers get out of the barn when their sleeping, they won't have their guns with them at all to defend themselves and knowing Hershel he would probably lock them in the house somewhere, which only he knew where they were and had the only key to gaining access to them.

I agree, my favourite characters are Dale, Glenn and Daryl. I do like Andrea after the last episode, she's starting to flesh out a bit as a character, and I like Shane too because he is flawed and I think he's the one character capable of causing the most interesting story lines.

I really dislike Rick, he's so self-righteous and a complete goody goody, he seriously annoys me, and his wife Lori is irritating too.

The whole Hershel situation is completely unbelievable. The zombies are quite clearly dead people, and there is no way he would actually think he could evict Rick's gang from the farm. And why don't they go live on one of his neighbour's farms?

I would like to see Shane shoot Dale in the face for being such a interfering old git, and then chuck old Hershel Greene in the barn for being a fruitcake . I very much doubt this will happen but would liven the plot up would it not?

I'd quit watching without Dale! I wouldn't miss Shane at all..

And I believe the spoiler pic is a fake right?

Hows the show doing in the states ? Is it pulling in the viewers ? As I've said before the pace can be slow most times but personally it's not off putting enough for me to turn it off.

For one of the most key elements of the show they sure do screw up the zombies in this series. Oh look, suddenly there are zombies in the shop, suddenly they're in the street, suddenly they're behind you, suddenly they're everywhere!

I know TV shows play dumb, but this is ******* stupid. You would smell them! Hear them! See them!

I feel this problem has been amplified in season 2 and if this season wasn't paltry at best already this is enough to send me off the edge in hysterical laughter whilst trying to watch the show!

zombies coming out of nowhere, zombies coming out of nowhere, zombies coming out of nowhere, zombies coming out of nowhere, zombies coming out of nowhere, zombies coming out of nowhere,

Well put, I've thought exactly this :D

Except it makes me cry not laugh hysterically :(

I always thought the bloke from the cdc told rick his wife was pregnant but it wasn't that, have i missed something?

Same, I always thought it was this but when Rick seemed geniunely surprised, it obviously couldn't have been that..

So now I'm quite confused

I thought it was fairly implicit that he told Rick he was immune to the infection?

The guy had been studying immunity to the disease, and had taken blood samples from each of the group. It also explains why Rick survived his hospitalisation, after apparently dying and being surrounded by walkers. But quite apart from anything else, it would provide some small measure of hope for the larger situation:

In a show with a post-apocalyptic setting like this it's often hard to drive the larger story - i.e. to up the scale beyond the trials of this one small group. His 'immunity' will (eventually) be used to link the characters to the 'bigger picture', and will be used to provide motivation for the characters beyond simple day-to-day survival.

... I haven't read the comics or anything, so feel free to laugh at me if I'm wrong!

I suspected the writers themselves have yet to decide what Rick was told my the CDC guy.

The whole CDC sub plot did not happened in the comics and never does. Though I think it was a nice divergance.

I wouldn't expect some kinda virus immunity, seems a bit farfetched.

Probably a red herring and we will never even find out what. Rick didn't seem too interested at the time so it wasn't anything shocking.

Reading through some of the recent posts in this thread about characters has made me realise I don't even know half of their names - Dale, Andrea etc - I couldn't put a name to a face. Gonna bench this show now, a shame because I actually liked the first series.

What I was led to believe was that the CDC guy told him that everyone was already infected and would become a walker after death?

Anyway, still quite enjoying the show although I agree it is quite slow paced. But it is a television series and as such, needs to be paced to allow for characterization etc.

Remember in the first series when the camp got overrun and a load of people died? God I hope that happens again next episode. Actually when is the next episode, have we hit the mid season break already?

Yeah, I can see something like that happening in the not too distant future. Possibly with the walkers in the barn managing to break free and catching the group off guard.

Think there is 1 more show to go (in the States) on Sunday evening. Episode 7. Think it airs on a Friday night here in the UK, but unsure what episode we are up to.

Haha that would be awesome (well actually it would result in numerous people having truely horiffic deaths, but you know what I mean :p).

Oh yeah just had a check, 10pm friday is the last before the break.

This would be great. I can just picture them escaping the farm in their vehicles as zombies swarm the place and all the buildings burn in the background, showing that nowhere was safe for them. I want them to get rid of all the women and Glen.
