****Official Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 thread****

Lol old classic maps.... So basically no code change just a straight import from the same game engine into the same engine... While having the pay for it BAAAAAAHAHAAAHAHAH!

Lol MW3 fails so hard....
 
Terminal, Favela and Crossfire are very good maps at least. Shipment not so much.

It doesn't necessarily follow that they would just import them wholesale without changes. The COD4 maps in the MW2 map packs were significantly spruced up graphically, as well as having a few subtle changes to layout.

I'd like to see Bloc, Broadcast, District or Chinatown from COD4.
 
China Town being a remake of a COD 1 map, that was FREE to PC players in a patch.

How easy do you want to make it for them to resell back to us stuff we've already paid for?
 
That's the way it is now, take it or leave it. I'd rather there were high quality free maps like with COD4 but it won't happen.

Bear in mind that playing those old maps in MW3 isn't going to be just like playing the old games because MW3 is a different game to play, albeit subtly.

Well you get one the moment you start a new prestige level. So if you have finished level 80 the first time and choose prestige, you'll get it then. And each time you start a new prestige level you'll get another one.

Oh right what if I can get up a few prestiges, could I save the tokens up and use the later lol?

In all fairness the map pack we got back in the COD4 days was only free becuase Nvidia paid for it in exchange for Marketing etc.....

They wanted to charge us PC users, what they charged the consoles! :eek:

I assume so but I have used mine up as soon as I got them so I dunno for sure.

You wouldn't gain anything by saving them up though, you wouldn't get any bigger rewards than you'd get for using them straight away.

Yeah the COD4 map pack was very high quality indeed, so I don't think us PC gamers should allow ourselves to act spoiled and to expect companies to give away such stuff routinely. Nice when they do, Epic did it with UT2004, EA brought out some free BC2 maps, free NFS Shift 2 DLC etc. but I don't think we should 'expect' it as a right, especially as we are a small part of the games market.
 
Is it just me or does getting Scavenger Pro seem pointless? + extra mags. Whats the point when scavanger lets you refill anyway...?

Pretty sure it was the same in mw2, so its always been pointless to me. Unless Im missing some secret benefit.

I suppose you don't always get the opportunity to refill before you run out - if you shoot at long distances etc.

Not that there are many maps in MW3 which allow this, compared to MW2.

I would prefer it if they gave you more grenades like in COD4 where you can carry three. I don't even think Scavenger lets you replenish grenades does it?

I dont think it does either, I'll check next time I play.

Maybe extra mags is useful for sprayers who manage no kills :P

Cos it's what noobs do? :p Then again pretty anything you do in game will annoy someone. I've been called a noob for firing my SMG from the hip for example. 'noob steady aim' even though I was using dead silence :p

I don't jump to avoid fire etc. - just to get around. And to get the XP for surviving fall damage when using dead silence pro.

They couldn't have been that good, since most servers only included Chinatown out the four maps in their map rotation.
