This game flopped hard.
Just spent another hour giving this game another shot and its just awful. Its so unbalanced theres literally no point in playing it. Too many of the weapons are overkill compared to the starting weapons so new players cannot defend themselves at all. The starting weapons are just plain awful compared to MW2 and Black Ops where you could use them for the entire game right from the start. On this game, you try and get away from them as soon as possible due to how unbelieably ***** they really are.
The multiplayer also suffers from the fact its hosted crap on other peoples machines, giving them a massive advantage. Plus of course its rife with cheating scum, just like the other COD games before it.
First game I genuinely wish I never got...

Map pack rumours http://www.callofdutymappacks.com/news/modern-warfare-3-map-pack-1-nostalgic/
As well as some new maps, possibly getting
- Terminal from Modern Warfare 2 (Set in an Airpot terminal, luggage and planes everywhere, lots of glass too!)
- Favela from Modern Warfare 2 (The slums of Rio de Janeiro, lots of ground and rooftop battles!)
- Shipment from Modern Warfare (The smallest Call of Duty Map you’ll ever see! It’s basically as square map with a few shipping containers in the middle! The most intense map ever!)
- Crossfire from Modern Warfare (A map I personally loved, great for sniping along the large main road and great close quarters combat in this desert town!)
Just completed the SP.
Personally I thought it was epic. The story line was pretty amazing and made BF3's look abit pathetic. Absolutely loved the ending, something peaceful about it. The graphics weren't THAT bad either obviously no where near as good as BF3 but beautiful in places. I'm not one of these guys that will stop and inspect a texture under a microscope.
I just want to mention that this is coming from a massive BF3 player.
EDIT;
Oh and the soundtrack was awesome too.
