The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Just found that out :/ Kinda wasted a lot of time playing on the second highest lvl. Ill have to remember that when i eventually go through as a summoner mage type.

Its a heck of a lot more fun on master.

Dont forget its only 'bent metal' that you can smelt.

I just smelted a load of different dwemer parts. Decorative handles, solid metal, dwemer scrap meetal etc

I understand this, but it is not the way i like to play these sorts of games tbh. Dovahkiin - Killed by a wolf! You should be powerful!

Same, I play for the fun of playing, not always for the challenge. I enjoy being able to kill things easily, makes me feel powerful!

Decided that for my next play through I'll go pure melee combat, maybe with an Orc for the frenzy ability. Heavy armour and 2 handed and then completely avoid all magic.

Run around with a great axe swiping things :D

I went redguard, dual wield. With the warrior stone active and hitting with 2 1-handed weapons the skill rockets up in no time flat, I was level 15 with around 50ish 1h weapon skill. Feel way more awesome than the big 2H style imo :D

Holding both buttons = DW power attack which is actually pretty nasty. With the power attack from sprint and power attack (decap) while standing perks there's not much can hold it's own.

So do I these days if its an fps or something. But I felt that there was no point leveling on medium difficulty as everything i had found was easy to kill.

I know what you mean about feeling powerful, but I prefer (and hope this is the case in skyrim on master) that as I level I will get powerful and those things that were hard will become easy. Basically I just didn't like the idea that I could somehow beat a town guard, who I assume had practised for years, after 2 hours of using an axe...

Loving this game. level 12 nwo but i have a stupid bounty on me and the guy im suppose to deliver some false documents tells me that i have to either pay 1k of gold, got to jail or fight him. i chose to fight him but the ******* wont die. He simply cannot die even if all his health is gone. probably because his part of a quest objective :(

I got the bounty when i was in some "inn" getting the original documents fom the Stormcloud people and they guy wanted to fight me so i killed him plus the owner of the "inn" LMAO.

i had a message popped up saying i have a 40 bounty on me but it then later said i have killed all witnesses so i though im good to go :)

i guess not :(

im working for the imperior crew. my plan is to earn their trust and then kill the general/leader and take control of imperior. They are the ones who try to kill u in the beginning of the game. Is that achievable? My mate said he took control of whiterun in a similar fashion.

Quick question, does anyone use their racial abilities? I chose to go Nord for this game, just felt right, they come with resist frost and a battlecry. I think that the resist frost has helped a lot as there are so many frost spells/enemies. But after 90 hours or so I am yet to do a battlecry.

I think it makes targets flee, I suppose I should use it in a fight to give me a bit of time to recharge. Anyone use their inate powers?

I thought resisitance didnt work since the latest patch so making it useless at the moment!? Or is that something else Im thinking of, are they fixing it???

Quick question about Ingredients...

When you find an ingredient, for instance say, Blue Mountain Flower, if you pick it then go to Ingredients if you click it, it discovers Health and below the image there are 4 Unknown labels, once you have clicked it one of these becomes, Fortify Health, how do you discover the other 3?

Ive tried click on another one but all it does is remove it lol - Anyone figured this out? :)

Large Decorative Dwemer Strut
Large Dwemer Strut
Bent Dwemer Scrap Metal
Large Dwemer Plate Metal
Small Dwemer Plate Metal
Solid Dwemer Metal

Is the list of things that you can actually melt down. Think decorative strut makes two bars, the rest make three apart from solid dwemer metal which makes 5.

Yeah, at L40(1)?, I have 70+ OneH - it's really slow to level after a while, but Daedric swords DW PW is great fun xD Only one is legendary at the moment, because I haven't bothered legendarying the other. But I can imagine the potency of two legendary + Soul trap + Fire Damage on one, and god knows what else on the other.... Most things at the moment die as I run out of Stamina with my power attacks - 200 Stam. But it's great fun I must say :) Only problem with DW is it does occasionally leave you quite vulnerable to attacks and can be a pain healing.... I've found I rely on pots much more than magic recently.

Level up your Alchemy skill perks:

Skill req: 50 Eating an ingredient reveals first two effects.
Skill req: 70 Eating an ingredient reveals first three effects.
Skill req: 90 Eating an ingredient reveals all its effects.

Pre-req skills are Alchemist, Physician and Benefactor

1) you need to add them to potions and their extra effects will be "revealed".
2) you can use the perk to reveal extra abilities on taste (alchemy tree)
3) You can cheat and make potions like in (1) but instead of guessing just make them according to this website: http://skyrim.iamnoah.com/

That or mix up some random ingredients, see what you can find. That's how I've discovered most of my effects :p

How do people allocate their level-ups for melee style? In a health:stamina ratio, I mean.

Can someone please explain how Azura's Star works? Do I equip it? Or is it related to the trap soul spell? I cast the spell but nothing seems to happen!

Also are soul gem fragments just junk, or can I use them to make full gems?

The intended way:
Eat the item to learn the first effect. If you have perks you can reveal more effects.
Any missing effects can be found by making potions. Using items that share the same effect will reveal this effect if you make a successful potion.

The cheats way:
Read a webpage.

It is just a reusable soul gem, so use it just like a normal grand soul gem.

as for the fragments, I would like to know that too.

Just caved in and bought this bust having a problem.

It will only run in windowed mode, I can use the launcher to change the display options but it doesn't seem to remember what i choose and always loads it windowed 800*600. It's very annoying and I am struggling to google an answer.

I have tried disabling UAC and running the launcher as admin, no joy. Any other ideas?
