Oh boy, just played this game again after not having played it for over a month. That + new maps I don't know = absolutely slaughtered

Getting slaughtered badly on the new maps as well. So long since i played bf2 ive forgotten the layouts. And the poor hit reg isnt helping, the game also feels very slow/clunky compared to bfbc2, switching between weapons with the mouse wheel seems to take pretty long.

My k/d ratio is dire, not that im too worried about it tbh.

Since the release of the dlc the game seems to have taken another backwards step. It was much better after the last patch pre dlc.

Have you changed your server to HC mode Matt?

EDIT: So it is. Finally, an OCUK affiliated server that's HC. Wont get a chance to play tonight but have added it to favourites

Finally managed to get my game of B2k (had ridiculously busy week)

Love it, there were times when I thought i was playing BF2 again

, Gornall de byatch kept killing me with the SV98 12x scope... decided to have ago... WOW epic, roll on Sat night when i can have a few hours playing! Just gutted DICE haven't got a decent server side update, playing a 50 man limit to limit crashes is kind of a bummer when your paying for 64!!

P.S will defo add Matt's server now its hardcore

Just had a couple of awesome rounds and then got plagued by lag. I'm hoping that's something to do with the server filling up and not my network...

The F35 really needs some sort of buff. Because you can't airbrake like other jets without grinding to a halt it's a lot slower to get into and out of a turn, and you can't try to evade Stingers/heatseekers either. The VTOL is a dinky feature but it really doesn't make up for turning it into a big fat cow. The HUD is massively oversized on it as well.

whats the significance of the comment about the 12x scope for the SV98, was it locked previously or something ? I don't play recon much.

Na its always been there, tbh i've only played on TDM and metro rush since launch, dont like any of the conquest maps so haven't had much chance to use any of sniper guns myself... until 2nite, decided to have a blast using it on Karkand, while the server was filling up... Most fun i've had for a while

Also the IRVN scope works like vanilla on maps like Karkand <--- for the record i forgot to take it off an old gun... HONEST

Only if you are helped out by stingers and soflam from the ground does the F-35 stand any chance of staying alive long enough.
If i am on the US side, i always try and occupy the aircraft, at least try and help out the F-35 stay in the air to do some good.
Or the Flanker pilots have to be rubbish and cant keep up with your turns. Which is very rare indeed.
What is the point in hover mode?? The few occasions i have used it, i get nailed straight away.
Stay out of the bloody thing until it gets patched, flying it right now is like flying a massive target in the air. Without the tools to evade the incoming ammo.

Thats why i have seen it loads on Karkand then. Good to know, if i get killed by it now, at least i can equip it to even the score.
