OcUK Health Seekers: Post your progress pics

Thanks LiE. Big improvements in your pictures too on the previous page. It's good that you've been able to keep your bodyfat low all this time. I was too, until 6 months ago when I let all hell break loose diet wise and stopped training for 3 months. I'm only now just back to where I was half a year ago!

DevilsAdvocate, everytime I look in a mirror I ask myself the same question. Let's face it, not many people are content with how they look but you still have a load more muscle on your frame than 90% of the people on this earth. What are you goals by the way, strength, size, aesthetics?

A couple of current shots for use as personal motivation as "before" pics, hopefully be posting back in a few months with some size added!

I hate my chest though, having pectus sucks, i'm hoping it looks somewhat less apparent when i put some size on.

I'd be lying if i said aesthetics wasn't my main goal but being strong is also something that drives me.

I know I've gotten stronger as thats something I can keep track of. But when you see yourself everyday you do question whether you are making progress in the aesthetics department.

I was told by a few people that I dont really have the frame to be 'big' anyway!

Aye I have it and it annoys me SO much. Makes me look like i have a belly when actually my abs naturally stick out far more comparatively to my chest :(

Anterior Pelvic Tilt, could be it, google it. Pretty common nowadays along with rounded shoulders, lordosis, poor thoracic mobility and so on. Fortunately it can be fixed.

If you actually have pectus excavatum aswell then iirc theres a whole thread on the bb.com forums with before and after pics showing it can be somewhat negated with some muscle mass.

I thought I'd combine working out with my other favourite activity. ;)

Cheers I've been paying far more attention to shoulder position and general posture recently and wow has it helped with lifting! Also I've taken your advice and I pull before every push. In fact now I'm doing weighted wide grip pullups/hammerups 6 times a week, supersetting them with every pushing movement I find I'm lifting more in both.

I'll upload some back/leg shots once I've cut a bit more, maybe even a glute spread if you're lucky. No? Pity. Is it just me that has glutes that have massively overtaken their legs in terms of size and power? I must be putting a bit too much emphasis there when doing squats and deads, SLDLs in particular.

Apok, you can't really tell but I suffer from pectus excavatum a little bit too. In fact since lifting it's just emphasised the depth in my inner pecs. Either way it's not something I'm bothered about as I'm no bodybuilder. So long as it doesn't affect my lifting (competition or otherwise) I'm happy. You'll probably find with a slab of muscle over the top it will be far less noticeable.

My glutes are the source of my power. I'm not surprised to hear you do a lot of pulling, your back looks strong even from that angle.

Thinking of posting some pics up in a couple of weeks. Nothing special, but I'll compare them to the ones I took around July (close to the comp I didn't make weight for). Weight will be roughly the same, so the difference will be mostly down to on vs off season and slight tweaks in positioning. Need to drop another couple of kgs first, which I really want to be able to do with sprinting. Got an appointment with my physio on weds so hopefully he can make some progress on my ankle.

I definitely have pectus excavatum (runs in the family), not to a huge extent though. And yeh, I've seen the thread. Already much less noticeable since I've been lifting.

As to the APT, looks like it may well be partially that so I'll get stretching over the holidays.

basically i said this but with more sarcasm, something about calling the president because apparently there is no possible method for delvis to get to a gym. Which i firmly believe is a valid point.

Delvis .... why dont you ask lie or icecold or FF or ANYONE here who you think you aspire to get close to matching, ask THEM what they do when their car breaks down, because the answer WONT be "come on ocuk forums and moan about it" the answer will likely be "find another way to get to the gym"

you know im right

I personally don't give a flying fudge if you are right :o :p

You know full well that I have no money, in fact, you don't even know my day to day situation at all, I have what...Less than £100 in my bank account currently, and thats of the overdraft.

If I could have gotten to the gym, I would have.

P.S, currently i'm aspiring to get to Skillmisters stage, then hopefully LiE's, then some more ;)

Undeleted the post - don't know why it was deleted?

I think he's just trying to kick Delvis up the arse a little - and to be honest he's right! ;)

Do some complexes at home... go find a tree and do some chins, do some HIIT, bodyweight exercises, core work! Lots of stuff you can do! :p

I did :) I even said I was going to do this :o

Someone call the news! the police! dammit CALL THE PRESIDENT! Apparently all viable modes of transport near delvis have simultaneously failed.

Delvis you miss more gym than you go to, yet miraculously you post in here more than anyone else.

Now I can read it...

I don't really understand your last comment, I've been going solidly since End of July this year, during that time i've had what, one week off? Because of a holiday? (Which I remember you kicking a fuss up about because I was doing press-ups in the middle of a field in Germany)

Also, I post in here a lot because I want to LEARN about the things I am doing, my job also allows me the time to post on these forums, so I do.

I agree, I needed a kick up the ass a while back, however since them i'm trying to do all these things (Eat more, train harder, stick to one routine) and I have been doing it. However now it just seems a soon as I post something slightely out of the blue involving me not doing something you jump on and slander me :o

Forgot I had a decent mirror in the utility room so thought I'd take some pics which show things better than the bathroom mirror.

Really happy with things. I think I'll carry on putting on mass until I'm at around 13st 3lbs. Then I'll taper the calories back and strip a bit of fat. Never done this before but I think from my goals of looking lean I will have to do some kind of fat stripping.

Thanks :)
Forgot back and leg shot. Don't see my back much so pleased to see the upper back exercises are doing their job.
