Well lets put it this way, I really, really hope anyone of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd or City sign him up... make of that what you will.

Well deserved IMO although the club does need a natural replacement for his defensive and leadership talents because when he is out, there's no one comes even close.

King is a freak of nature, there is no replacement and never will be.

Wasn't his strike rate during his time at Spurs as good, if not better than your other strikers in the same period?

Anyway, you claimed he was a better buy that Torres the summer you signed him and we signed Torres. What do you know? :p

There's more to life than strikerate. Bent is useless, he can't track, tackle, no good in the air, no strength, no guts, no willpower, no fight, can't pass, can't do much at all and his finishing really isn't that great. He misses more than his fair share of sitters believe me.

You do post some whallop sometimes but just making things up takes the biscuit :p I call BS that I never said any such thing, if I did then drag up the quote?

I have never done anything other than sing Torres praises, when he played for your shower.

I do believe you but I'm not sure what you've said has to do with Bent creating a lot of chances for himself.

You're obviously exaggerating with your post but even so, Owen isn't/wasn't any different yet made a more than decent career for himself.

I would had the transfer thread for that summer not have been deleted.

Certainly one of the Spuds said it and I've said the same as above a fair few times to you before without you taking exception to it.

Owen was a quality finisher and leagues ahead of Bent in every way. The most annoying thing about Bent is he's a big strapping lad and could be 10x times more of a player but he just doesn't have it in him. Gutless player, I don't like or rate him one bit.

Owen isn't and never was a quality finisher; his record from the penalty spot highlights that. Nor was he a great player technically. He was a clever player though and had a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

And yes, that old chestnut :/

As I said, today certainly wasn't the first time I've brought up your Torres/Bent quote so why only object now?

Are you plucking figures out of the air? The fee was nowhere near 9 million. It was low, massively based on appearances. If Stoke had a bid of 6Mil accepted, why would West Ham then go and bid £3m more? :S

So we've [Leeds] have signed Andros Townsend on loan from Tottenham untl the rest of the season, he's a winger. Anybody know much about him? He was a u16/17/18/19 player for England. 20 years old.
