What film did you watch last night?

Thought Rooney Mara was excellent, didn't think much of Daniel Craig though, poor casting to choose James Bond as Blomkvist.... just didn't work for me at all.

I can't understand why everyone else in the film had Swedish accents apart from Daniel Craig.

This bothered me throughout!

Good movie though.... it seemed odd for the first 20 mins as I have seen the original a few times and took time to settle in.... by the end though I was gripped again, just to see how they portray things.

Ok overall, as mentioned however, a needless remake.

Just got back from GWTDT, thought it was really good. Rooney Mara was indeed excellent, didn't realise she was in the social network.

The Hit List

6/10. Some plot holes but overall a worthwhile watch imo. More for a rental rather than one you'd keep in your collection though.

Some?

Check the IMDB forums for everyone asking WTF happened with the ending. Was as if they lost a bet and got the work experience kid to finish it off.

The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption - 7/10

Not seen the first two and was not expecting much from this straight to video release but I thought it was actually quite good.

Certainly not for eveyone though.

The Hurt Locker - 2/10

Billed as "THE war film of this generation" I was left massively disappointed.

I was expecting a gritty, realistic war film about bomb disposal during the Iraq war.

What I got was a film in which Americans can do no wrong. British SAS get owned with the last survivor panicking like a little girl whilst the heroic Americans neutralise the enemy and save the day.

Please spare me this utter tripe.

Warrior. Pretty good, some strong performances. Couple of things let it down though and the biggest one is the trailer, it ruins any suspense the film may have had. Also, one person having multiple MMA fights in the same evening seem a little unrealistic but still enjoyed the film despite this.

7.5/10

Watched the Devils Double last night, its like the scarface of the middle east...loved every single bit of it, thought it was fantastic...10/10 for me.

Off to see Mission impossible ghost protocol tonight with the missus, looking forward to it.

lol 10/10!? I was surrounded by that film for months!

It's okay, was better than the £620,000k it took at the UK Box Office.

I recently watched KILL LIST. British film about a hitman returning to the scene after being out of work for 8 months. It's weird on so many levels. The swedish actress is HOT though. I'm still not sure what to make of it so won't be giving it a score.

Saw this at the cinema and everyone who was with me couldn't make head nor tails of it.

Super 8 is getting a super 7, modern day goonies and a real return to the style of films I remember so fondly from my childhood.

Rise of the planet of the apes
An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy

7/10 better than I was expecting. Slightly disappointed it didn't go further, but I suppose it allows for a sequal. However how do you go from one little group in a small Forrest to taking over the world.

Edit - it is meant as a reboot of the series and sequels are planned, sweet. Be nice to have the whole series from start to finish.

Clue is it at the end. :)

For those who haven't seen the film yet, I've hidden the spoiler.

The new strain of virus, which is more powerful, kills humans. The pilot was infected with it, and spread it. Wouldn't take long to spread around the world, wiping out most of mankind. Far easier for the apes to take control of the planet, with the majority of man wiped out.

I was surprised by Rise of the Planet of the Apes, I was expecting it to be the same old Hollywood crap but they didn't overdo the special effects too much and story was pretty good. The best moment...

When the guy is in the Helicopter which is hanging of the bridge and the badass looking Ape who he'd been experimenting on walks over on pushes it over the edge... sweet revenge!

I'm going to watch http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1594562/ as soon as I can, I do love a good horror film and films like this just give me a buzz, and make me keep my stand light on ¬_¬

Trailer is pretty decent doo.

Stand light on is cheating!! :p
