What film did you watch last night?

127 Hours on Film4 as there was nowt else on.

Dude cuts his arm off, Based on a True story. +
Kept me watching on & off for most of it.

I just seen that! Really excellant story of human spirit and what you would go through with hallucinations and not knowing which way was up! Excellant film!
9/10!

Driver - Wonderfully filmed and the change of pace around 2/3rds of the way through was a real shock to the system, in a good way. The acting was top notch and it's good to see Cranston beginning to take roles in film as i'm a huge fan of his work. Great soundtrack and some excellent cinematography. My one complaint is that the 'main' car chase scene felt a little cliched to me, i prefered the much more unique and suspense-filled car section at the very beginning.

9/10

I'd give that one 9/10 too! really awesome film! my sense of humour might be a little as i laughed out loud when he kissed his neighbour in the lift then started stomping on that guys head! So romantic then so violent lol....

Films i watched last week:

Basketball - Never seen this before and being a big fan of south park and team america etc I though I would check it out. Its pretty funny although it felt dated and a seemed like it tried a little too hard - 7/10

Out cold - Being a huge snowboarding fan a mate and I thought we would give this a go. It was obvious, it was cheesey but at the same time it was awesome (because of some really funny stacks and terrible jokes) 8/10

Killer Elite

A lot more intellectual than I was expecting, great film mind. Very English in a sense and the action was both satisfying and gripping. Awesome cast too including the lovely Ms.Strahovski and Mr.DeNiro

7.5/10

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - 9.9/10

Epic film! Really good film, amazing graphics, great storyline, kept me interested throughout the whole thing. My only gripe is the title...I mean, could they have made it any longer? Why not just call it "Rise of the Apes" or something a little shorter

The Artist: Total Oscar bait, with it's Silent Movie story and nod to the Big Screen. If this doesn't win in at least one category i'll eat my Y-Fronts.

Don't bother if you've never enjoyed a Black and White movie. If, however, you enjoyed the comic genius of the likes of Buster Keaton and can imagine one of his movies, crossed with a Bing Crosby classic, you will enjoy the funny tragedy that makes this one so unique.

Seriously, see it at the Cinema if you can. It's worth every penny.

Should have posted this on Sunday since i watched Beverly Hills Cop on Saturday night. Forget which channel it was on but it made my Saturday since the football got cancelled here :D

Thought that 127 hours dragged on in the middle...theres not much you can do witht he film at this point except throw in lots of useless memories and hallucinations i guess

6.5/10

yes i felt empathy but as a film, it just didnt weigh in.

I'd probably give 127 hours a similar rating, The Running Man. It was a good film and it told a good story, but I think the fact that 70% of the time was spent staring at him down a ditch going crazy made it impossible to rate it any higher. I'd be annoyed if I went to the cinema and paid to watch it.

I Am Number 4

Nice enough film (one of last summers sleeper hits I assume), never seen it before and it's probably most comparable to Jumper in that it's obviously a take on the X-Men but not quite (in this case the main players are some kind of beings from another planet). I liked it enough to hope a sequels made.

7/10

Yea, i just hope the guys earns some money from the film and lives as happily as can be.

He's got the right attitude and I think he's enjoying life more than most of us.

Ralston still climbs mountains prolifically, including a 2008 expedition to climb Ojos del Salado in Chile, and Monte ****is in Argentina.[9] In 2005, Ralston became the first person to climb all 53[10] of Colorado's mountains over 14,000 feet in elevation, solo in winter, a project he started in 1997 and resumed after his amputation in Blue John Canyon.[11][12][13] In 2008, he climbed Denali and skied from the 20,320' summit.[citation needed] He led a 2009 expedition on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.[citation needed] While Ralston still intends to climb Mount Everest some day, he did not go along with polar explorer Eric Larsen on his "Save the Poles" expedition in 2010, as was previously reported.[14
