Which MIUI build are you using, been thinking about trying this for a while now.

Flashed to Checkrom V5 last night, seems pretty good so far, well seems the same as V4, but with a few updates like the lockscreen.

just seen this. I was hoping v5 would be built on ICS:(
 
Guys can i ask a favour, could someone try loading up a PDF magazine, i'd like to see if its readable without zooming, trying to decide if want to replace my SGS with SGS2 or a Note, or keep the SGS and my Tab.
 
All right my phone USB is still screwed up, how do I do a full reset?

Is there anything I need to backup first? I can just get the apps from android market again cant I? I've synced my contacts with Google so I can pull those from there.
 
What to do what to do, good daily GB Rom or go ICS based rom??? I need camera, video etc.
Anybody in the same boat as me, got my phone rooted and ready to roll. :)

There's no video recording in CM9 yet, and video playback is a bit dodgy. Other than that it's fairly stable. I'd go with CheckROM HD 4 in your position :)
 
Awesome, thanks for that! Is that the rom with the kitchen app or something which you can flash a ICS theme, that looks nice.

Trouble is I really like Go Laucher so I guess even if I flash the ICS theme on top of the CheckROM HD 4 Go Laucher ex will kind of take away from his theme.

But at least all the Sammy stuff will off the phone and it should be even faster with his ROM on :D

edit: seems to work well :) Does it keep the profile when the phone reboots or do you have to set it again then?

At the moment all I've done is create a profile and set the screen time out to unlimited and rest is as normal.

Just wondering if anyone has returned a phone to t-mobile through their insurance company, fonesure? i was just going to pop into my local t-mobile store as i can actually show them what's wrong rather than trying to explain over the phone, and i've had the phone less than a year so thought i'd be able to get it replaced in store, but doubt it. So just wondering how long it usually takes?

I'm trading a couple of phones at envirophone so that covers the buyout.

You guys reckon that's worth it?
 
How is Checkrom v5 doing for people?

I love my existing rom but battery life is terrible (blames Tiny Tower game).

I was on Checkrom V4 for a day or so but I just found it ugly and I guess I can't avoid that really if I want to stop my phone melting.
