Well 30k a week, for 3 years, more than the average persons wage a week, for 150 weeks..... he could be truly awful, and be set for life. If he is actually a good or even great footballer then, he'll be back in the prem league next year most likely and has a damn strong starting position to move on to a top club. If its a four year deal, just even more money. 30k a week for a guy who basically hasn't been tested is pretty mental though.

I agree. I still stand by the reasoning that 30'000 a week is insane for an unproven talent.
I agree about being set, he'll either be ~average or poor and still pick up good wages or he'll be good or great and pick up those wages + increases / bonuses and then get a move elsewhere (where he will have to pick up a big wage as he's already on one)

Exactly what I was thinking, a guy that was massively overhyped at his best, and hasn't been fit for years but, because of a couple youtube video's(Liverpool and City getting fooled by youtube...... has an idea)
There wasn't a chance in hell Hargreaves was going to be useful, I just wonder what wage he's on per week, I bet you anything he's on a certain amount per week and a huge top up for appearances £5 a week would have been a waste, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 10-20k a week.

Well you have no idea what wages his on nor his appearance fee so discussing it is irrelevant. If he leaves at the end of the season then oh well, we had a punt, got 3 good appearances out of him and a goal. Can't complain really.
I didn't expect anything from Hargreaves but you were talking him up in the summer and he's contributed next to nothing I cant see Pizarro being any different tbh
On a different subject I assume Arshavin didn't go anywhere in the end?
Well he has got himself fit, played some games but its still a long way back considering his injuries.
3 weeks left in Russian transfer window so still plenty of time, much like Tevez is being talked about going Anzi as there is plenty of time left.
