If what's being reported is true, Wilshere has suffered a new (less serious) stress fracture of the ankle and the original fracture has healed. It sounds like bad luck rather than he was rushed back from his original injury.

edit: and confirmation of the Portugese youngester we signed:

Sounds like bad luck, lol, doesn't sound like that at all. Wilshire was being talked up about doctors being AMAZED at his healing powers, thinking there was basically in normal circumstances no way his ankle would be healed.... he trains hard... ankle gets a stress fracture again.

There's a distinction between a bone being healed and a bone being strong enough to be trained on, and here is where Arsenal screwed up again.

Its like RVP's last injury, the medical staff saw the images, decided it wasn't that bad............... let him go to have god damned, what was it, horse placenta rubbed on it (you really can't make this crap up) then as he was walking around on a serious injury misdiagnosed as something much less serious...... he made the injury even worse and ended up out for much longer.

This is exactly what happened to Wilshire, three times now. First time, it doesn't need actual treatment just rest, without it ever being "fixed" they let him train in preseason.... his ankle hurt, probably a minor stress fracture, the fix, walk about on it, not that bad, protective boot. What happens, it gets worse and they are forced to do surgery. Finally gets a proper "fix" for it, then what do they do, they let him train to early on a weakened ankle that fractures again.

Its laughable that it happens with us over and over again. I'd prefer to be overcautious for a couple weeks than this farcical routine we go through and see them get injured even worse, almost every freaking time.

Something seems to be wrong with his ankle, he had issues, it was clearly weaker than it should be, they ignored it, it got fractured, what would be your honest reaction here without any medical training? Mine would be, ankles don't just fracture, theres something going on, its weakened, we missed it last time and let it get out of control.... would you EVER let him train early, and hard and pretend its some medical miracle, or be overly cautious.

Same thing with Vermaelen last year, they mostly prescribed rest, and he was still seeing new specialists 5-6 months after the initial injury.

Only if you count biggest as value, surely there are multiple ways you could define it (money, fans, silverware for example)

Personally I couldn't give a monkeys about labels like biggest, they are just there to make fans feel better about themselves.

There are 3 clubs I can see winning the league this year, in terms of this league, those are the "big three" for me, nothing more or less. I really don't give a crap how many titles Liverpool have, they aren't a big club in the league this year or main title contenders, neither are Arsenal, City certainly are, and so are Spurs, both at fairly opposite ends of the money scales with Pool/Arsenal inbetween them, yet irrelevant.

Everybody has a different idea what "big" means, as I do, I just can't stand the history arguement the "my team won the league in 1904, and your team has never won it, so we're "bigger"........ says a team in the conference to a team in the championship. Meh, I don't even use the term big when I think about who can win the league, best teams this year. City are obviously already in with a good chance at most cups this year and will be next year for the for the next few years at least.

Most profitable club means a heck of a lot more than "biggest" whatever that is. Utd can afford to spend more on players than most others...... even more without the debt, unmatched without the debt. With FFP that will probably be one of the single most important factors in squad strength in the next decade(if FFP isn't BS).

He wasn't training hard, he was jogging. And Wilshere has just mentioned on twitter that the fracture is not in the same area as his original injury, which has healed.

Why let a fact get in the way of a reason to have a go at Arsenal's medical team? ;)

What did Hargreaves do that was anything remotely like this?

tbf he is just angry because his place in the reserves was taken by a 16yr old :/ and hes gone from being possible first team backup to not even playing.

Hargreaves moaned about how the United doctors abused him and were at fault for his injuries as soon as he left, only to play one game and surprisingly get injured. :o Grade A **** for that tbh.

Hargreaves came out and said that he felt like he had been treated as a guinea pig by united as soon as he had transferred. This kid has just expressed his pleasure at moving to united. Did he at any point badmouth City in those tweets because thats exactly what hargreaves did.

Also, what has this Ruskie (he is Russian, right?) kid said that's remotely disrespectful to Man City? All those tweets are really positive about Man Utd, but there's nothing insulting to his former bosses in there. Is he not allowed to be excited about his new club?

Swiss.

Well he isn't saying it directly but for example,

I am Honoured to be part of the Massive Manchester United! Great club, great history, great FANS! Let's make it 20 !!!! #MUFC #retweet
Emphasis on "Massive" and "FANS" is something utd fans always go on about to City fans.

I don't mind him being happy about joining utd but is it really necessary to aim the tweets at City fans?

He has stopped now and has posted something which he should have in the first place.

Erm, ok.

Are Man Utd a massive club? Yes. Would you really say the fans were **** when you join? No.

All his tweets sound like fairly bog-standard "woohoo aren't my new club great" statements. I wouldn't think anything less of what he said he gone from Arsenal, Internazionale, or Real Madrid. Just because they're big clubs doesn't make Man Utd any less massive themselves.

Cant believe Daniele de Rossi will be available on a free transfer in the summer (currently available for pre-contract talks). Cant see him being United bound as I'm sure his age/wage demands will rule us out but will be a great pickup for someone (most likely City)

I said, "arguably". There are numerous ways in which you can say clubs are big... so it's a stupid thing to debate... it can be argued in various ways...

LOL CHELSEA ARE A BIG CLUB BECAUSE THEY HAVE MONEY.

NO LOL, NOTTINGHAM FOREST ARE A BIG CLUB BECAUSE THEY WON TWO EUROPEAN CUPS.

NO LOL, UR BOTH RONG, ANZHI MAKHACHKALA ARE A BIG CLUB BECAUSE THEY'RE MENTAL AND PAY PLAYERS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

It's a stupid ontological debate, where differing parties aren't going to agree.

Not really, as those examples you've given are subjective.

If a company is worth 1.827 billion dollars, its a bigger company than one thats worth 257 million dollars.

End of argument.
