Sigh.

Its such a shame that such a talented and exciting fighter manages to self-sabotage all the time.

Guess this confirms why gracie said hes not fighting condit or this year lol

I think this news may retire nick diaz...

Hopefully condit faces winner of next weekends ufc, and hopefully its the jake ellenberger

It's hilarious that you can get suspended for it and that it's treated like a PED. I'm pretty sure they test for it for drug-abuse but if there's anyone that needs weed it's Nick Diaz.

Surely he knows how to cycle his weed after fighting for so long and being only caught once. Wonder what happened this time. Pretty dumb though. He knows the rules.

Wait, did I just make that up? What do they treat marijuana as, a PED or just an illegal substance? If it's the latter then I'm sure has a medical mj card.

I was wondering the exact same thing, I know that both Nick and Nate have the old medical card, however I guess part of being allowed to compete means that you cannot have any in system from xxx weeks before the fight.

If he used it for medical reasons and declared this before the test he would have been fine. If he does not declare this then he's an idiot and deserves his ban.

NASC don't accept California's medical card for weed AFAIK.
Which sucks, becasue under no stretch of my imagination could weed imporove my performace in the ring, on the sofa watching TV maybe, but not in a ring!

He hasn't got high before getting in the ring, he has just used weed at some point before this fight and it's still in his system.

If he could announce it every time and get away with it that is what he would do, he wouldn't let himself get suspended twice.

I can't link as there's a ton of swearing but search 'Joe Rogan on Nick Diaz smoking weed' on YouTube. Apparently Nick was blitzed in the ring when he was caught the first time, against Gomi. Pretty hilarious!

In other news it looks like Cain Vs frank mir.... and Forrest vs Tito III more then likely confirmed.

Cain vs Mir is a nice matchup - would have gone for Cain prior to the JDS fight as he looked a beast but JDS made him look positively average! Close fight imo!

As for Forrest vs Tito - couldn't be less interested tbh! :o (or Tito vs anyone if I'm honest!)

no one discussing UFC on Fuel TV ? have no idea what sky channel it is either but its on tommorow/thursday morning.

Diego Sanchez v Jake Ellenberger
Stefan Struve v Dave Herman
Aaron Simpson v Ronny Markes
Stipe Miocic v Philip De Fries
T.J. Dillashaw v Walel Watson

I think the Sanchez and Jakes a tough matchup, Sanchez and Jake have never been knocked out they both got there granite chins and like to bang. I still feel Sanchez has been a bit hit and miss lately but he does have that firey cardio and still unpredictable, still feel Jake with his better wrestling and striking will get a decision win but should still be a tough fight and hopefully deliver more then condit/diaz :)

I had actually forgotten about it until I saw the weigh-in highlights pop-up on my YouTube page; a couple of interesting fights, should be worth staying up for hopefully.

Anyone been following the build-up for Tate-Rousey next month? I'm not usually a fan of women's MMA but I must admit I'm looking forward to this one.
