What film did you watch last night?

Battle - Los Angeles (not to be confused with Battle of Los Angeles)

Pretty good for what it is, an army action flick with lots of explosions and amazing visuals. I think the reason it got bad reviews was because it was hyped up to be something it was never going to be.

Bridesmaids which was excellent 7.5/10.

Debating whether to watch A Serbian Film. Just to see what all the fuss is about.

Sickest and possibly one of the worst films I've watched but for some reason I couldn't turn it off. I just kept waiting for something even worse to happen. How it was even allowed to be released I do not know. I'm sure it was banned in Serbia itself.

A Serbian Film is a well crafted movie, subject matter aside, if the director put their talents to more mainstream material, i'm sure they would do very well.

I also couldn't turn it off...have actually watched it twice, was very very drunk the first time I saw it and watched it again as I wanted to be sure i'd remember it correctly, sadly I had and i'll never watch it again for as long as I live.

A Serbian Film sounds... interesting...

The fact you may technically be watching a degree of child pornography should put most people off though, especially if it's the unedited version. Needless crap.

When I said worst I meant as in what the film was about. There is no doubt the director is very talented. To have an imagination like that though I'm a little unsure what he does in his spare time...

I've seen it a couple of times now.

The film is really strange, because for the most part it's well paced, well shot... blah blah, does all the technical things really well.

The content is just off the wall bat **** crazy, it's offensive to watch.

It's baffling. Why make a film with such abysmal content when you're clearly a talented director? This wasn't a 'edgy' piece of indie / art house film making. This was bat **** crazy, off the wall, on the verge of being committed film making.

Tonight I'm having a session, so I'm planning on watching a couple of films, or rather rewatching them.

Watchmen and Star Wars IV, V & VI and after those if I'm awake enough I intend to watch Beauty and the Beast.

why would you watch such a film more than once?

i'm not for one minute suggesting you enjoyed the content but i don't see why anyone would watch it more than once, even at all if i'm honest...

Go watch Inception, then watch it again :) Or same could be said with many other films with ambiguous endings..

Anyway:

Rambo III - 6/10
Rambo (IV) - 6.5/10
The above were both standard shooty films, not bad, nothing special.

Warrior - 9/10 Absolutely stunning film. Had me on edge throughout despite knowing a fair amount of the plot from the trailer. Didn't know who would finally win though. Absolutely great film. Liked the underdog of Joel Edgerton, and thought that whilst I didn't particularly like Tom Hardy's character, it was a pretty solid character created. Nick Nolte absolutely incredible actor in the film. Well worth a watch. Whilst it probably is 'All the Rocky's rolled into one', I think that's a bit of its problem. Simply put it crams so much in that it's amazing, but you don't have the 6 film time period to build up an emotional attachment to the characters.

I don't think the point he was making was relating to the ending, more the rather alarming content in the film.

I've seen some incredibly horrible things on the internet and I'm not at all squeamish, but I just can't see the point of watching a film like that. Children and babies being killed and raped for the sake of it is just bizarre in the extreme.

Project X

Just got back from this, it's not really from the 'makers' of The Hangover, Todd Phillips just produced it.

All in all, it's what it says on the tin, quite fun, lots of boobies and some fire added in for good measure. It's not ground breaking but it never tries to be. Hey, I didn't look at my watch once so it did a good job of entertaining me.

Unfortunately though, it's very forgettable, some great lines about 'fingering'....

6.5/10

Real Steel. When I first watched the trailer last year I thought it looked a pile of cheesy poop, but given the favourable comments and teh fact I had nothing else to watch for pizza night my friend and I watched it last night. I have to say I haven't enjoyed a film as much as this for a long time, had me hooked even though i already knew how it ended. Great story, PQ, sound, robots, and had both of us welling up at one point! Down marking to 9/10 because the lad reminded me of anakin skywalker >.<

Underworld Awakening

Film 7/10
Kate Beckinsale 24.7/10

Jebus that outfit - those leggings. She looks even better than the first one in 2003!

Jennifers Body - Weird film but a good soundtrack, very teen horror sort of stuff 6/10

In Time - Cracking premise for a film but just not executed well. 7/10
