What film did you watch last night?

forgot to add this the other day.....had the misfortune of putting on BBC 3 on wednesday and watched starship troopers......truly awful and doesn't even merit a rating!

Watched Tucker and Dale vs Evil last night and was pleasantly surprised (the random selecting of discs on Lovefilm paid off). Some brilliant laugh out loud scenes... (chainsaw in particular)

IIRC they did a promotion thing when it first came out. I think on release day they played the first ten minutes on channel 4? Was a really good idea, I saw it and thought it looked good so I went to the cinema to see it.

I love the original, but have to admit I think this is probably a better movie tbh.

Lol. You really do not want to see 2 and 3 then, if you thought the first film was that bad. The sequels are the film equivalent of fecal matter.

Drive - Finally got to see this last night after it sitting at the top of my list for ages. It was worth the wait, very good but as had been said on here before a very slow and quiet start. It was reminiscent of Clint Eastwood 'Man with no Name' type westerns and old CLint never said much in those films either! About halfway though I wondered why it was an 18 certificate and then it started up with a good bit of the old ultraviolence. Oh and Christina Hendricks... 4/5

I can't understand how you couldn't like Starship Troopers(1), though it does look dated.

Bad acting, bad script,special effects weren't too bad, far fetched story. on the whole a load of crap!

Agreed, starship troopers is a massively fun film.
