Not sure about that. Example, my POV 470 had a sticker over the joint between the top plastics and bottom plastics. Removing it voided warranty.
So I emailed them and got permission and then kept the email just to be safe.
MSI, Gigabyte, Asus don't do that. Im not really bothered about a bog standard low end cheapskate brand like POV. I've emailed gigabyte about this before and they told me that my warranty wasn't affected by changing the cooler as long as I put the stock one back on, they just wouldn't service any cards sent back in a modified state.
Sapphire never used to offer warranty service, nor allow / encourage any overclocking at all under their T+Cs, yet people still used to reccomend them as the top ATI brand so I bought some sapphire cards and the bases to the coolers were heavilly scratched with horrible temperatures, and they claimed that overclocking was the top cause of failure on their cards

Though I'm sure Evga are fine, I stronglydoubt they are any better than MSI or Gigabyte.
