K&N FIPK. It now sounds like I have an angry bear under the bonnet of the car who has his balls stuck in a vice. At 6k RPM when VTEC kicks in, someone tightens the vice. WOOOOOOOOOAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

DMS Pro65R going on next week to complete the sound.

This is how it sounds if you're interested: Not mine but the exact same setup.

Not a bad noise for a 4pot :p

Honda have some of the best intakes i was under the impression most cone filters etc had a negative effect on performance for the most part?
not that i'm saying that is the case with all Honda but its certainly the case within the Prelude circle :)

Maybe, maybe not.
For that sound I'll trade a few horses.

Lovely sound when I got rid of my cone I noticed a difference felt allot better just missed the noise the cone provided as stock is soo quite

How much is the K&N one?

I've got the Mugen airbox replica by Tegiwa on my Integra (uses the same K&N filter). It replaced the AEM that was on there.

The AEM was louder, but I prefer the noise of the Tegiwa box, sounds great :D

I have a k&n typhoon fitted to my CTR at the moment (not through choice)
Whilst its performance gains are questionable and the imminent fitting of a gruppeM/tegiwaM system is coming soon, nobody can argue with the bark of an open cone filter on a hona engine. It sounds bloody epic.

The system looks great in the bay, what are the performance gains likely to be on that application?

This must be the 5th s2k related thread this week.
I NEED to stop looking at them!
