Agreed. Given the source material, I think he pretty much did the best job anyone could ever hope to do.

I think you will likely enjoy the battle for helms deep in the two towers.
The Hunger Games - 8/10
Went in thinking it would be a teeny bop version of Battle Royale.
Very different films. Both films have pros and cons with the rules etc.
The crazy shakiness to make up for the lack of gore was really confusing most of the time.
Fun film.

You didn't rate Goldeneye then?
I found Brosnan's other Bond outings to be rather dire.
I'm loving this movie and as it happens, I'm right at that point now. They're just batoning down the hatches at Helms Deep ready for the 10,000 strong army to approach by nightfall.
I watched all 3 movies and the battle of helms deep which is basically the 2nd half of the 2nd movie was easily, by far the best part of the trilogy. In fact, I must admit to be bored out of my skull for most of the trilogy (except for the helms deep battle, which is arguably the best long battle I have ever seen in a movie).
Though of course it's basically nothing like how it is in the book!
The helms deep battle is good, but the legolas on the shield bit...... 
At that point I was hit hard in the face by a wheel of cheddar that ejected itself into my face from the TV. I went to the doctors who confirmed that I had fallen victim to possibly the cheesiest scene in the history of cinema. I was then prescribed to watch the fellowship of the ring again to remind myself how it was easily the best film in the trilogy.
