Really like this thread. Missed it until now. Lots of credit to you for putting the effort and money into keeping an old car and good nick, not a lot of ppl understand that sort of thing
I see the offending photo has been removed....![]()
Adding up the number is never a good idea, on anything involving cars especially. I spent a shade under 200 on 8 bushes today for the rear end of an 18 year old bm that ive barely driven yet am in the process of restoring.
Its fun, I think thats what counts

Hmm, I hope you are right, my only complaint now is that I wish it was more lively. That's just how it ended up after fitting the suspension, didn't want to waste money having it done twice before and after changing bushes. I'll try setting it parallel with string today and see what difference it makes.Toe out, in my experience, normally dulls the steering input noticeably.
Should be fairly similar to how mine is then. I too have noticed that since the front end has become much stronger, the rear is notably weaker. For example if you storm round a roundabout and load up the front end heavily then the rear will get loose as soon as you breathe on the throttle. No static camber to speak of at all in the rear currently though. Also am running a non-staggered setup. I like it drifty though so it isn't a problem for me.I got evo top mounts and reversed them, which sorted the front but highlighted how naff the rear was
The bushes are for the rear control arms, so more boxes of lemforder bits.
Was you still after a set of sunflower wheels?
If it helps, I can echo what Matt82 said. I find with 0 toe or toe out my car feels dull on initial turn in.. it's quite disconcerting really!Hmm, I hope you are right, my only complaint now is that I wish it was more lively.
Ace. I cannot understand paint, it never works out for me and I hate it! Seeing those pics is amazing
Good effort, is taking shape now![]()
