My new F30 320d Sport

I dislike cars where a specific angle needs to be found to make them look good. A couple of the trade shots look decent but then that silver model that Housey posted looks horrible from that angle.

that is not the f30. That is his own f10 5 series. he was saying the f30 looks very similar to the f10.
 
They are from all accounts a superb car, I just can't get over the fact they harvest the wood for the interior from this tree.

Am hoping they don't bugger up the coupe version. The new 6 series has a decent looking bonnet line without it being integral to the grill, hopefully the 3 series coupe will kind of resemble that.

The E90 has a terrible looking bonnet/grill feature, and they managed to make it good for the e92....here's to hoping.

It's nowhere near as bad though, that line is practically horizontal and looks absolutely horrible. :(
 
The shut line on the F30 looks ridiculous when you notice it. The piece between the grilles and the bumper looks like an individual part thats not even connected to the bumper (unlike the F10).
 
Hadn't noticed the bonnet shut line before. It does look poor and now it's been mentioned, I'll be noticing it always.

I wouldn't be upgrading alloys on company cars personally, at least not over things that will actually make my life more pleasant as I'm driving around doing my job. Although you won't be paying for tyres, larger tyres have a harsher ride, all other things being equal. I'd want the softest ride possible as I travelled between photocopier repairs.

Many upgrades on company cars are a bitch in two ways: you don't benefit from resale and it shunts up your BIK assessable value. Hence if I was involved in our scheme I'd be going for very little in the way of upgrades and just using the car as a tool.

There's a new 5 sport I see in the train station sometimes. Seems to look better than the new 3 sport.

The E92 sport coupe is going to be very difficult to best. I just love the look on the front end :D

The other way of looking at it is, that it is your car for 3/4 years, in which you spend a lot of time,so why shouldnt you have 'nice' things in it, 1k over 3 years isnt all that much a month, and speccing a car up does let you have exactly what you want.

Yes you dont get anything back come the end of the term, but you do get to drive a pretty nice car for not much wonga. Im guessing that 320d is costing pug ~150 or so a month, which aint all that much, considering pretty much everything is paid for.
 
The above is true, maybe I should qualify my comment by saying that I would probably be putting money in xenons and satnav over and above larger wheels and other things that only affect looks rather than usability.

It would probably look much better with a darker paint job so the lines don't actually stand out. E.g. the blue photo on this page makes it stick out like a sore thumb. I bet won't look as bad with black or dark blue, which are my prefered colours anyway.

I normally go for options that I feel and touch and interact with, thats why I ended going for a less sporty A4 and added lots of nice bits!
 
What's with the "no smoking" sign on the windscreen, very "Enterprise"esque....:p

It's to do with smoking in public places, I think.

The idea being that it's the companies car not yours so could go to anybody next if you get an upgrade or leave, so they won't allow you to smoke in it.

EDIT: Strictly speaking if it's leased than it's the leasing companies car.
