Guild Wars 2

So what you're saying is, if you sign an NDA contract you give up your basic human right to free speech and are subject to prosecution?

Bloody hell, stop being stupid. It's a legally binding contract that you agree to sign therefore if your stupid enough to break that agreement they have every right to sue you.

Just like if you work for apple you have to sign a non disclosure agreement subject to termination of your contract if you breach it.

Or working in the government and signing the official secrets act.

At the end of the day you sign it therefore its your responsibility.

Do guy's think they will be able to cope on launch day? SWTOR had long waiting times to get in and was a bit of a disaster.

They have some pretty interesting tech, but i'm totally expecting it to be shambolic, MMO launches usually are.

With them running the 3 day headstart for pre orders I suppose it gives them 3 days to get their feet wet and affairs in order before everything goes off the rails.

OK, then under that same reasoning of it's a "binding contract"
Why can't I then go down to Africa and sign me up some slaves?

Free speech is a basic human right isn't it?

And BTW, I'm not saying this to encourage people break their NDA's.

You could do technically. So long as you adhered to other laws such as minimum wage and that they willingly signed the contract so as such they would not be slaves.

EDIT: and yes free speech is a Human right but if you willingly sign a contract specifically saying you can't talk about something then you forgo that right if you proceed to talk about that subject.

NDA doesn't mean jack. It's there to scare gullible people. Milkfox leaked the hell out of Age of Conan on their own forums. If you really want to show stuff make sure you find out how they're tracking people through screenshots

Finally got my pre-purchase in and as with most people Play just says 'Awaiting Stock' however I do have an estimate of 3-5 days. Have most people had this estimate since the 10th or is this a new thing?

Yeah I've had the estimate since the 11th. I am just giving them until the first beta weekend is announced, I will be canceling if I don't have my code by then.

For the umpteenth time.. Play are only selling pre-ORDERS, not repeat NOT, pre-PURCHASE.

Only people who got a pre-purchase, will have any codes.. those who are pre-ordering will NOT get codes until just before the game is released.

Play are awaiting stock because they're selling pre-ORDERS, not pre-PURCHASES...

/sigh

Its deffo pre-purchase on play
Guild Wars 2: Pre-Purchase Includes:

3 day headstart access

Beta weekend event access: Play in all Guild Wars 2 beta weekend events

Limited quantity: Only a select number of players will enjoy pre-purchase bonuses

Hero's Band in-game item: Adds +2 Power, +2 Precision, +2 Toughness, +2 Vitality, +2 Condition Damage, +2 Healing, +2% Critical Damage

I believe that is just how long the delivery will take once it is dispatched. Mine has said that since the 10th.

For a long time I used play.com exclusively then I don't know maybe 3 years ago their reliability started to deteriorate and just got worse, where now I will never use them, think the last 3 mmo games I bought from them all went wrong, late delivery. no codes no pre-order promise bonus items, they will say any thing to get the sale.

I bought the DD version from GW2 and got code instantly!

Now its just the guessing game as to when beta events will start, and will this game come out before or after TsW.

You have a code already?

I have an order with zavvi, another with play and one with gw2 and not one code received :(

I agree. I used Play a lot in the early 2000's. Like you said, they just started to go bad. Stopped using them after that.
