New Samsung S23A700D 120Hz

Does that include mine Gibbo?

I really hope so as I'm struggling to find a courier that will guarantee the glass on the monitor against breakage.

Yep, just package it up, speak to RMA department, get an RMA and send back to us and we shall replace and send a new one out. Also if you ask RMA guy nicely to pre-pixel check for you before despatching the replacement.

Also just to inform you guys, the ones with dead pixels, don't go back into new stock, but back to Samsung. So no risk of getting used dead pixel ones. :)

Great service! This has just convinced my bro to get one as well!

Skyrim on this thing is bloody gorgeous, the valleys seem to go on for miles as if you are actually there, very cool.

What a guy, you are a life saver gibbo!

I don't need a new one though as I already got the replacement sitting in front of me, running perfect!

thanks so much for been so helpful to existing & new buyers, great service like this makes us comeback again & again. ;)

Just ordered one of these and I was wondering if I can claim the VAT back, like right now. It's not going to arrive until Monday though, will Samsung accept a print screen of the invoice?

no because you will need the serial number of the back of the monitor.

edit:

if you don't get a receipt with your monitor contact ocuk customer support via web note & they will email it to you.

Just got this monitors a couple hours ago and I've tried them all out so far and currently there's no dead pixels and the PS3 in 3D is stunning! These monitors are far far far to swoon worthy! I need to calibrate them fully but I'll wait till I get my GTX680 for that but in the meantime dual screen and PS3 screen. The best part of all of this though? The surprise of what is known as Haribo. :D:D:D

My new setup. :D

p.s. are there any DL-DVI extender cables available? The cables that came with the monitor are really short.

Thats cracking service, brilliant,on a side note,i have just got my vat claim validated email(claimed by using the snipping tool on my emails from OCUK),well done OCUK and Samsung.

Just unboxed mine and so far very impressed, even more so now with Gibbo's zero defective pixel guarantee, haven't spotted one yet though!

Has anyone seen any contrast/brightness calibration settings? I've been through the entire thread and can't see any but sure I've seen some at some point this week!

that's because the image quality is stunning out of the box, personally the only settings i needed to change were the black levels & response time. i will probably get an even better image quality if i have a go at the picture settings but its so beautiful as it is. 10/10 :)

As with the SA750 and 950 series you may find the image richer and more appealing by enabling 'GroupView' MagicAngle or switching to Gamma Mode 3. No need to touch contrast and brightness is purely down to preferences and lighting.

Change the blue to 43 (this helps get rid of a bit of the purple hue that is sometimes seen on white images)
Change to Gamma mode 3
For normal desktop use i have brightness set to 23.

It always makes you think you need loads of colour to have everything vibrant but at these settings the colours appear very good. The only thing that is niggling at the moment (but it may just be a case of trying to get used to it) Is the glossy screen and having to see myself when video goes to dark scenes, i never got this with my 226BW as that was a matte screen.
Really need to keep using this screen to see if it's a small compromise for how good things look on it.
Today is overcast ouside but can still see the window (blinds are shut) and myself...looking to the right where i have my other monitor and nothing.

It's a shame about how reflective it is, must be there to make colour look more vibrant.

Slouching in my chair i see quite a bit of colour shift but no dead pixels that i have noticed yet.

Well off to test with BF3 n see how the 120hz goes and if these reflections become too much....

Just unpacked mine and the monitor looks fine but one of the lenses on the glasses is cracked :(

Sadly I now have to return the cracked glasses AND the monitor, which has no dead/stuck pixels, just to get replacement glasses.

This to me is poor customer service from Samsung's point of view.

Buy another one first(funds permitting), swap the glasses, phone up OcUK and get them to collect the other one, gibbo said they will pick up faulty ones(although it states dead pixels) for free.

You should drop CS a note and ask them first though.
