Just done a youtube video showing the beta running at 7680x1440 with one 7970 overclocked. Runs very smooth:

I see I can download the beta client from my battle-net account (download games page), cant recall having it enabled before. Does this mean I can play the beta? or should I be checking elsewhere to check for a code or something to see if I can play?

u can play it for this weekend and monday until x time (unsure on exact end time) as its an open beta. :)

I've really enjoyed the beta. Just a shame release is so far away :(

Not sure which class I like most. The witch doctor is quite savage when you get some of the pets but the barb is surprisingly fun to play.

Loving at the moment :D

My gf wants to play but it won't install on her Macbook (HA), she has downloaded the installer but when she tries to run it the installer just gets up to "Updating set up files" and doesn't go past that. Anyone know why that could be?

LOVING Witch Doctor. Think it will be my first class on retail.

Lot's of control, **** loads of damage, especially with the Reap buff on 5 enemies.

I got up to around 120DPS with the 5 stacks, thought barb and wizzard did sick dmg earlier but now after hitting 300+ crits with fire bat and doing 150-200 per hit of poison dart is quite funny. But then I suppose u're not supposed to be lvl10+ with full gear in there, by lvl13 I think you'll be finishing the whole act 1 already since it takes lvl6-7 to kill skele king.

'Haunted' is extremely powerful as well, common 575% weapon damage and jumps to next enemy after it dies, spammable and has full screen range - it also negates any obstacles, you can even cast it from upper dungeon level to lower etc. Cast 3-4 times then just keep on walking, everything will die after 5s without you doing anything.

Still, I think I will be playing wizard. Might not be as strong at low levels but once you get 25-30 it should be a breeze going through nightmare.
I remember sorc was harder on normal than on nightmare due to lack of spells but once you get the powerful hydra/meteor/blizzard its just going to be a faceroll through anything on your way.

so far not enjoying it. it plays like one of those £5 games like bastion IMO.

at first i was trying to move my character using wasd and it wasnt having it and realized you have to point and click to move lol.

combat is meh, just a mindless clickfest.

The thing about Diablo 2 is was all about the great armour and weapons. The beta doesn't really reflect this. Personally I don't think you can judge it on the beta. Besides why would a lousy game get so much hype?

It looks like they will copy wow and have a starter edition to download. Maybe wait for that if your worried about the current state of the game.

Having never played a dungeon crawler before, I wasn't sure what to expect.
I had a full play through as Demon Hunter last night, finding it curiously addictive and good fun. Next up, Witch Doctor!

Does the game scale if you play Co-op? Are there harder difficulties available in the beta?

Yes, for every extra player and yes, after each game completion you can play again on a harder mode, Normal/Nightmare/Hell/(Inferno maybe?) and the option for hardcore mode which simply = die, and character is lost forever.
