Ivy Bridge...How much?

I did a google product search a few days ago for 3770k. Saw it listed on a site for £250, but has now been removed.

Blacked out company name to avoid listing competitor's website.

There's a couple of places where you can pick up a 2600K for ~£210, so it looks like a better deal if they charge any more than £160-170 for 3570k.

Found a 3570K online and on sale at £186 - Although I would never order from the company concerned they're not usually expensive - but this seems pricey to me.

Well the sandybridge can reach much higher but its kept back by heat.... same with any cpu, that comment is just silly...

No, the SB is kept back by voltages and it's purely ultra low temperatures like using phase or LN2 that mean one can go much above the intel specified maximum voltages.

Whereas on IB you can't even reach the maximum specified voltages because of poor design of the chip, either by the chip direcxtly or using TIM instead of solder hindering heat dissepation.

The general rule of thumb I follow is as such
us price, converted to pounds, plus 20% then plus £20 price hike to rip off the UK.
