Ivy Bridge...How much?

Well I will be dismantling my current PC today (need to move PSU into new build) so that I can get parts ready to be sold off (liquid cooling pipes and radiator need a good clean so it will take me a good while).

This means I will be buying some kind of CPU tomorrow, be it Sandy or Ivy.

Hi there

We shall be launching IvyBridge at introductory special pricing, were reversing the usual trend of a new product having a high price then dropping, we shall do the opposite, low price which shall go up.

As such 3770k is same price as 2700k, see our website and 3570k more or less same price as 2500k, these are retail and we shall only be selling retail to start with. :)

Gibbo, when will the introductory pricing go down? I can only buy the CPU on Monday so I'd hate to be paying more because I couldn't afford it on Sunday.

how long will the offer be on for? im local and much prefer to buy over the counter than on tinternet

Nice Gibbo :D And to those considering the SB-E route think about it first... are you really going to be using 6 cores and tri channel memory as well as the hyper threading? Thats what your actually paying for in difference between SB-E and IB.

I'd be more than happy if I can get a 3770k to run at 4.5Ghz 24x7 :D

Started my build today, just need the processor now then I can power down what I'm typing on, migrate some hardware and turn it in to an ESXi server :D

From Stulids results its more like 10-15C higher temps at high overclocks. Imo Id say that 10-15C for lower vcore and a little bit better performance is worth while. But thats just me since Im going from an e6500 to IB.
