Crucial M4 128GB £89.99 on Deal of the Day!

I think this is a fabulous offer. Among the cheapest on the net, if not the cheapest. Especially when you include the forum free shipping. Thank you OCUK!

If I had a SATA 3 mobo I'd definitely buy, but right now my twin Crucial M225's (128Gb) are fine and dandy.

Just fitted mine - sweet Jesus never known an upgrade like it. Working in windows in a joy and my boot times are seconds.

Still need another drive knowing 128 isn't enough for gaming. Reluctant to buy a normal drive after using one of these. Please drop the price of a 256 so I can put it has a second drive.

They'll be more expensive, that's what they'll be like.

;)

Also the Vertex 4 isn't bad on price and it's 'new', although perhaps not a very big improvement on a vertex 3 but when has that stopped a manufacturer going 'HEY IT'S LIKE TOTALLY NEW MAN, 40% MORE THAN THE OLD ONE (WHICH YOU SHOULD NOW PRETEND DOESN'T EXIST)!' :p

Dang wish I'd seen this earlier today. I have one and been trying to convince my cousin to get one too

I'm thinking similar, whack steam on there and the few games that I play..... :(

I did that with my ssd and its a pain. Too small a drive for steam if you've bought a lot of games via the store. You'll end up having to instal/unistall games and then redownload them. Im looking at the 256gig m4 as its under a £1 a gig for my steam.

I caved and bought it, I own something like 68 games on steam but I don't need to have all of them installed. Most I won't ever play again! :p
Infact I just did a tidy up and now only have the games which I do play installed, comes to 105Gb. :)

I use steam mover to move games between my SSD and HDD Takes 2 mins and means i keep all my games

This price puts it at 70p per GB. Tempted to swap out my v100 to the laptop and get one of these.

Yeah I've had a 60Gb OCZ Agility 3 as my boot drive for over a year, so now this 128Gb M4 for games and a 1Tb Hitachi Deskstar for documents. One less mechanical drive in the system so noise should reduce further. :D

Edit: Actually, no, damn it, I don't need to spend any more money. What would make much more sense is for me to buy a 256GB drive to replace the 128GB at some point in the future, and then put the 128GB unit in my media machine. I've been using 128GB SSD since 2009 and I do find I have to work at keeping within the space constraints a bit.

Word for word what i'm going to do (laptop instead of media machine through)

Ordered one last night. My brain stopped working and my hands just seemed to take over and order it on their own.

Seriously tempted to get a 128 but I just don't feel it's enough capacity. £180 for the 256GB is a great price too considering it was around £250 not long ago.

Is now the right time to pull the trigger or will prices continue to drop?
