New Samsung S23A700D 120Hz

I've got 1.1.6 installed, but had to skip these 5 errors. Tried several times. Any ideas?

Just uninstall all tridef software and then install the update. MY guess is that it doesn't install properly because of the install of 5.2 on top.

Ok, I'll uninstall it all, but I'll presumably need to install Tridef from the monitor disc first and then install 1.6.1 on top of that like I did with 5.2 won't I?

Ok thanks melmac, all sorted now. :)

I posted my order number in the customer services section of the forum and requested an invoice. A very helpful chap attached it to his reply in the thread.

Got a day off work tomorrow to receive delivery. Very excited :)

What do I send them for the invoice? A PDF of the confirmation e-mail from OCUK?

Have you both done the samsung VAT back online form? If not, request your invoice from overclockers by using the webnote system. When you get it (it'll be an email attachment), it opens in pdf, so just open the pdf and take a screenshot of the invoice. Then upload the invoice screenshot in the samsung online VAT back form and you're done.

If however you've already done the VAT form and uploaded a screenshot of just the order page which is what I did at first, then when you get the pdf invoice, you can send an email to [email protected] with the invoice screenshot, mentioning the form you already filled in and saying that this invoice is just for further proof of purchase. And you can include the claim reference number (if you have received one yet in a Samsung VAT Cashback - Confirmation email from doing the online form). Hope that helps. :)

don't think I'm going to send this one back tbh mate.

I hate waiting around for it to be picked up and re-delivered, and whos to say the next one will be better than the last two I had?

I think I'm just destined to have pixel problems lol :(

I wouldn't live with it though, I'd try for a refund at least or else you're sitting there with a monitor you're not happy with.

Delivered this morning. Clearest monitor I've ever seen in 2D, watched a couple of 3D YouTube videos and was surprised how good the quality was.

Will try some 3D gaming tonight. I've also sent the Mrs out to pick up a couple of 3D blurays.

Was going to order one of these today only to find that the weekly deal has ended, and to top it off it looks like the VAT back has also ended :(

Someone said it's been extended.
They've extended the VAT Back offer, but according to their site it's notebooks, yet OCUK have it till 06/06/2012 on their site for the monitor, so I'm confused.

Well after sleeping on it Ive decided that I might as well send it back again, otherwise I should have kept the one with just the single faulted pixel lol.

I asked if they could check it before sending it to prevent me having 3 faulty ones on the trot, but the OCUK RMA man said he cant do it legally apparently :( so that kinda sucks.

Wish me luck. :D

Good luck:D,expect to see one of these when you get the replacement.:D

I just got one of these and it arrived today. Set it up and attached it and there's a problem. The left hand side of the screen has faint vertical blue lines on it. Both cables secure and graphics card secure. Tried it without the PC connected and the little bouncing box that says "check cable connectors" or something like that, has the same colour change at the same boundary. Any suggestions?

My TFT arrived today. Pretty happy with it, but there's a problem. I have an ATi HD 4870 and it's not powerful enough to run at 120 Hz at max resolution. All the text is garbled under icons etc. As soon as I drop the refresh rate to 60 Hz it's fine.

I don't want to spend a fortune, but what ATi card would be the logical upgrade? Happy to have second hand.

Also, any tips for setting this up? Such a myriad of options I don't know where to start. Have switched on Samsung Magic Colour and turned brightness down to 80 but that's it.
