A couple of mates of mine get their 'big release' games from Tesco. Have always had stock so far.

I don't understand people cancelling their CE's just to be certain they are playing at midnight. I 'm sure they would catch up pretty quickly.

After watching the unboxing of the CE I'm glad I offloaded it for a quick £30 profit. Doesn't seem like anything too special, and got myself the standard game for free in the process.

I've never known a CE to retain its value. I remember seeing the Cataclysm CE plummet in price after its release and it can still be bought right now for brand new for less than what it was released for. I might pick the D3 CE up later on down the line if it's around for a bit cheaper.

My order for the collectors at Tesco is showing "Estimated despatch: After 6 Weeks from 16 Mar 2012".

Wonder what this means, it was in stock when I ordered, now unavailable on their site. May have to order normal edition from somewhere else, and just sell the CE when it arrives :/

they estimate despatch based on your original order date, 6 weeks after March 16th is well before d3 release date ;)

Ok, has anyone been to a 'launch event' before?

I was looking for somewhere to pick this up at midnight and came across the launch thingy at HMV in Oxford Street, not a million miles away.

Only thing is, I'm not a fan of Diablo, and I don't know the first thing about the characters or story, I just like the look of the game and want to get involved.

Reckon it'd be strictly die hards at this or do you get plenty of people who, like me, just want to pick the game up and bugger off?

The launch "event" will be very busy as the London event is the only one in the UK, and developers will be there to greet/sign etc. If you just want to get the game I'd look out for midnight openings of normal retailers, I know the tesco near me usually open up for big games.
