Hey guys,

Wondered if any of you knew a solution to my problems.

I'm getting random freezes and black screens using the 301.10 / 301.24 Drivers (Have also tried an earlier one to no avail)

Here is a picture of what it says after the black screen comes back on

This happens when not running anything pretty much only desktop and browser is installed as its a fresh build.

I'm just a bit clueless as to what to try next :(

downloading now, although I thought these were merely developer drivers.

Q: Is Driversweeper sufficient enough to get rid of the old drivers? (Im currently in safemode)

Also if it was a memory issue, i'd get this issue in safemode right?

That warning is either Driver or Volts. Don't worry about driver sweeper, just install over the top. If the drivers don't fix the problem, try forcing the volts to 1.175 in EVGA Precision X or MSI Afterburner.

Same Problem But Fixed

Hi All

Had the same fault on the same card but only happened once in awhile think its due to pushing the OC a bit to far have lower the setting now and hasn't happened the last couple of days .

Think my setting atm are:

TDP 133
Memory 300
Offset 100

Have to say great card super quiet and cool ;)

it could be a faulty card thing

I would RMA the card if it keeps happening - that is the message you usually see when you start trying to OC your card, if it's happening at stock then I'd say the card is faulty

Thanks for the replies guys, it's not OC'ed atall for your info.

I'll have a look at the volts and settings though and also will try that disabling of the screensaver and sleep (I can't get it out of sleep when it goes)

P.S - Iv'e installed a fresh win7 again just to make sure lol

@Gregster, i've tried pushing it to 1.175 which is the furthest it will go on Precision X?? Seem's to keep doing it. I also have about 10 seconds when I open ExpertTool as it crashes every time :(

@Steve Johno, Where do i change settings??

Still no joys here arrgghhh!

welcome to the 1000's of people suffering Nvidia driver issues. I'm assuming your card is fine on this one, I get the same thing, as do many other people. No solid cure.

Nah none of the drivers in the 300 series are working, same issue on all of them.
Just keep getting freezes then followed by black screen then I get the kernal error mode ****.

Not sure what to do? I guess RMA is only option now?
If I do, what's on a par with the spec of a 680 and price wise?

Can you try the card in another system?

do you need to get something other than a 680 - surely you can just get another 680 to see if you just had a bad one
