I'm playing it co-op with RL friends so not worried about people just gunning ahead and killing everything!

Anyone make a HC char right off the bat? That is mental.

Think I'll play a few hours on my todd, see how I get on with it, but I've been looking for a good game to get into online so I'm hoping once I've got to grips with it there'll be a few fellow noobs who fancy working through the whole thing as a coop...

You can join a game with random people in yeah. Or you can allow other people to join the game you are in.

I'm definitely playing normal on my own, want to experience the story at my own pace and make sure I don't miss anything

Damn, I was considering going to HMV after work tomorrow since I wasn't sure when the queues would start. Looks like it will be pointless. Was also considering going to the local Tesco Extra to get a copy at 23:00, but I think I will just wait til my Amazon order arrives. I have work the next day, so I would barely get any play time and I would just end up being tired.

Blizz launch days are usually a train wreck anyway. There's no need to rush.

I just checked myself and although I've uninstalled the beta the battle.net folder in the location mentioned still remains, and is specific to D3 (my other bnet games such as sc2 have a different battle.net folder). So make sure you delete this folder or you could have issues when trying to install the retail version.

I'll play with people to get through the game as fast as possible, or faster than that. Ain't no time to waste.

Yeah, there's that too

I'm guessing despite all the beta stress tests there will still be unbearable lag/inability to log in, and instead of people complaining about Amazon deliveries, the internet will be flooded with people berating Blizzard.

Early Install

We will be unlocking the game's installer at 17:01 CEST on May 14. This will allow you to begin installing the game, troubleshoot any issues you run into, download and install the launch day 1.0.1 patch, and be ready to play as soon as the servers come online..

You say that like its a bad thing.

In the weeks from the game going gold, the 1.0.0 version being put on the retail disc, Blizzard have been fixing bugs and improving the game.

Many games have a launch day patch. Patches problems found between the making of the discs and launch.

Kind of agree, kind of don't. I went to the Skyrim launch at my local game, and there was a nice atmosphere to it, saying that, after having done it once, I'd probably go with your option from now on
