right click on follower portrait - select inventory (i think) - allows you to set they're abilities.

After managing to log in the first time I created my character and then had to go out.
When I got back on later my character wasn't showing up (got some error message about it) but I was able to launch the game with him.
I'm wondering if it will have saved him or if I'll have to start again...
Not a big deal as I only played for half an hour, just wondering if this had happened to anyone else.

It should have saved yeah, some weird bugs happening atm, my friends character got deleted on its own then come back when he restarted, and I wasn't getting any achievements until level 12, so i've missed out on level 10 achievement and skeleton king. Hopefully it gets fixed.
A bug starts you on the US servers although it states european. Change region to US and log and see if he's there.

I checked before I started that my account was set to EU. I didn't realise there was a bug, I thought it just set the wrong default region.

I don't suppose it matters which server I'm on for this character if I'm going to play through on solo does it?

Finally its here!!!!
Even if i play for 30 hours in the 2 days im home(which i intend to 
) I'm still going to lag behind everyone else. There's just no opportunities for me to play in the next month as I don't have a stable internet connection...

Once i've done Normal solo....would definetely be up for adding some of you guys as freinds for co-op Nightmare mode and beyond
Yea that's what I'm doing too so i can play the story and first run though at my own pace then move on to harder modes.
