Anyone else's wife/girlfriend getting hacked off with the playing time? I'm getting proper grumpy looks when I slink off to my man cave on an evening.

Damn, the £35 catalogue option is all out of stock at my 20 nearest stores haha. Want to buy it with instant code may just end up paying the 44.99 through Diablo3 website..

Payday tomorrow and only have 39.99 in my paypal.. The joys of waiting for payday :P

For Tom_D...

Run a "netstat -b" look for the D3 executable in the list, it should give you an IP address that the game is connected to.

Run a "tracert" against that IP, you can also try WinMTR for some longer insight into if there is a network related issue.

do all this in the command prompt, it'll show the route to the server and I bet somewhere along the way your ping will rocket up.

heh she's used to it by now. i can't for the life of me work out why she's not as stoked about the monk's 100 hand punch thing as i was

Jesus, this thread moves fast!

I have to again do a 45 min drive to Winchester, another 45 mins back, THEN I can play Diablo... URGH!

try to get wireshark or fiddler trace (google it),

this will give you a solid picture of all IPS you are going throw.

When I find a lagy game, i usually leave the game and start on a new server,

The netstat and tracert I posted are more than enough for individual tests, then WinMTR for longer term monitoring is fine.

Wireshark will install WinPCAP and other associated software/drivers that if you don't know what you are doing can be more detrimental than helpful.

My setup is

Primary - Spectral Blade (Deep Cuts rune)
Secondary Disintigrate (Chaos Nexus rune)
Diamond Skin (Prism rune)
Frost Nova (Frozen mist rune)
Archon
Familiar (Sparkflint)

What level?

I did use Spectral Blade for a time but since I've gotten Electrocute theres never been any reason to change. It has pretty good close range dps, especially with the small radius it has, but it doesn't really compare with zapping mobs apart from range. Saying that I am lacking a strong single target dps skill, though that is mainly for bosses where standing in front of them would be silly.

I haven't really found a use for Hydra yet. Its a nice bit of dps for the cost but things die too quickly atm and there are better skills to supplement my build. Maybe on later difficulties?

Backup to 350MS now. Horrible stuttering. :(
I was on 300 - 700ms last night with no stuttering
latency bar last night on mine was red for ages but didn't get stuttering so just waiting for confirmation from blizz.
My latency bar was red for most of the two hours or so that I was playing last night and the latency was well over 350 when I checked it on a few occasions but I didn't experience any stuttering.

I paused the game a couple of times for about half an hour each time and it threw me off both times but I got straight back in.

I was bored so went and soloed diablo on Normal difficulty and he didn't drop any rares???

My friend said if you've already killed a boss they wont drop rares again. wtf!?

Whole point of diablo is boss runs for items!??!

Can anyone clear this up?

I've done the Act I boss a couple of times and had rares on every go.
