Just about at Act 4 on Nightmare now on my Wizard, still finding it a bit easy, hope Hell is a good challenge. Only things I die from now are bad abilities combos on rare mobs, like Mortar + Frozen / Jailor.

I found once I defeated diablo on nightmare hell felt like easy mode again, although I'm still in act 1 and I'm sure things will get tougher of course.

Anyone farmed any bosses yet?

Got around to teaming up with my brother and killing the Skeleton King. I'm a Monk and he's a Wizard.

Was really in the dark about whether I'd enjoy it as much as I enjoyed D2 and I am at the moment. Happy to see they allocate skills for you because I was such a perfectionist when it came to that and hated wasting at least one point :D

Edit - Suffering today though, zzzz.

Hugeee pictures :P

But although they look really nice I'd be careful using them as there was a statement made by Blizzard that the darkd3 one is against the rules and you can be banned. I am assuming its the same with these as well.

Thats wrong, there not against the ToS as there not considered a cheat. If they head into cheating territory then it'll be bannable.

i found there was quite a big jump in difficulty in normal from act 1 to act 2 - i died 2 or 3 times really early. plus as someone mentioned above combinations of mobs can conspire against you, elite wasps with the jailor ability, elite melee guys and a yellow mob all together took some running about to kill! saying that one of them (dont know which) dropped my first legendary item - some trousers.

i'm playing a monk - it's like a ballet of death :D oh and since the first day i've had no connection issues or problems connecting to the service (touches wood!)

Sooooooo, completed Diablo 3 on Normal with 2 of my mates last night. Started Nightmare straight away and alsmot finished Act 1 before we all went to sleep.

However, I am starting to notice the game is very unbalanced... Barb is VERY OP, my self as a Witch Doc and my other mate as a Demon Hunter, struggle to keep up with the sheer kiling force of the Barb. He has something like 900 damage, we have 700 (I only have 700 when my SH is fully stacked!), the barb has a ton more armour, tons more HP... What gives?

It's a little bit annoying see your char be so underpowered compared to what effectivly is a tank... Anyone else notice this?

Loving the game so far, up to level13 playing a barb, only just realised the gammar problem running full screen (thought it was looking washed out), changed to windowed full screen and what a difference :)

Maybe you're slightly undergeared compared to him.

My barb does so little damage compared to the monk and witch doctor (specially on hell difficulty) but I have a ton more health than both of them.

ToS say any mods are bannable, not just cheats.

That's contrary to all the official statements being put on the Diablo forums forums and is qualified with the term "unlikely"... Each to their own but I'd rather not risk my account for a mod that darkens the game a bit. I can do that with a monitor profile.

Been using it since release of the game and never had any problems yet.

For me it stops the game looking so blurry and Ugly Betty colourful, which the American's seem to be into.

Don't see a reason why you would ever be banned, maybe asked to remove it, but not banned for it. Seems completely illogical.

It's because they can't actually tell what you're doing if you notice it but they'll know your using something which is why they'll just ban.

Yea i'll be surprised if they notice because I'm pretty sure it doesn't touch the game files.

All you do is add:

d3d9.dll
darkD3.fx
DarkD3_Settings.h
darkD3_Shaders (folder)

Into your installation directory and use Pause Break to switch between the filters.

I find it nearly impossible to play the game with the normal colours and blurriness.

I will FINALLY get a proper crack at this game starting 11pm tonight, I finish at 5 then have dinner and a movie. After that the missus will be in bed and she's in work for a 12 hour shift tomorrow so I'm going for a marathon 24 hours starting at 11pm, I'll be getting the essentials:

4 Litres of Iron Bru
3 share bags of Cool flavour Doritos
4 large packets of Custard Creams
6 bags of HP chilli flavoured nuts.

Am I missing anything? =)

Sour cream dip for the doritos.

This really bugged me playing through the demo version. Do you get to make choices on your toon at all, or is it just a linear unlocking of skills as you level?

The skills unlock as you play, but you can choose any skills you want on your bar. You could have 4 Defensive if you wanted too, just turn Elective Mode on in the gameplay options.

You get to pick the skills you want. The biggest difference is now that they scale with your character, rather than having to pour all the points into one skill to make it any good.
