I'm fairly early on in this game, just wondering if I'm doing things right.

Should I sell my white/blue items to the merchant, or should I put them in the auction?

Would I make a lot more cash flogging them in the AH, do I just sell to to merchants if I need money fast?

If I get a yellow item I should definetely put it up in the AH right?

Does anyone have any figures on the actual data transferred. I've got a friends who's interested, but has a cap on his internet, and he's after some figures on the amounts of data actually transferred.
I was interested in this as well so I did a quick google.

For 20 minutes of solo play the total data used was 5mb(including uploads). With 4 people playing the data usage increased around 50%

I spent all my money levelling the blacksmith, i presume this is a sensible thing to do as it looks like you can get nice items from him?

Guys, I am struggling for moola, is it worth flying my self through normal mode (on act II nightmare at the moment with friends). How much do you think I could net?

Whites are useless except maybe selling to merchants early on.

Blue sell to merchants or break down for crafting materials.

Yellow at early stage if you're not using them you may as well break them down or sell them to merchants. Possibly put them on the AH if they're lvl 10 or more (and you can be bothered).

The whites aren't even worth picking up because they are worth like 3g each.

This. I only picked whites up when I had no hear. :p

I pointed this out to someone. They were TPing back all the time with bags of whites selling them. I smacked a group of mobs when they got back and earned the same gold as selling 30 whites would have got them.

It's far more productive to be killing mobs and collecting more gold and more magic items and only TPing back when you're completely full of that. :)

Struggling on Nightmare, seems harder than D2 was on hell. Doing co-op last night with 2 wizards, a WD and a Barb and we were just getting annihilated by elite packs, being one shotted in a lot of cases. A lot of them just seem to have power combos that are ridiculous (one we kept coming up against was jailer meteor, they lock you in place then kill you in a heartbeat)

Level 49 now on Act 4 of Nightmare, would be on Hell by now but some stupid bug basically rolled me back to the end of Act 1. Still had all my stats/items but had to start from there again, frustrating.

I'm struggling with Diablo himself, died three times now.

The cages just seem to grab me even though I'm not quite near them or in them... it's like a lag grab! Then he one hits me and I'm dead.

That probably wasn't a bug, you probably joined a game where that's where the creator was up too. You could've just started your own at the quest you got too.
