it is annoying though, especially if i go into wow or any other game i run im only on 35-40ms
Am I the only one who cannot decide which class to major in? I have all 5 past Skele King now but I dont seem to be able to concentrate on any one, so I am gradually inching through the story with each one in turn. Kind of wish I could make my mind up...

I finished Act I with the Demon Hunter last night and decided to play through each Act with each class before proceeding to the next Act.
I've got to say that I'm having more fun with the Monk already and I've only been playing for about half an hour.

i found act 3 normal to be a much different prospect than the rest of it. i've died more times here than i have anywhere else, though all the bosses i've encountered so i've taken down without a death. the sucubus with their red homing ball and the shamen's who resurrect demons and fire long rang fireballs have caused me the most grief, i've also had the misfortune to encounter boss and elite versions of each type in the same group multiple times. oh and add the molten mob type to that and i is a dead monk.
i've had to swap and change skills to try counter with and it is improving, but it came as a bit of a shock as i'd pretty much masacred everything up until now with not too many issues.

Doorways + Blizzard + Slow Time + Disintegrate = Nothing makes it past the threshold alive.
Chances are you just need more vitality and to try and focus on who to target first if you don't have the dps to floor everything.

Just a heads up to any that might want the CE. GameStop have it in stock but it doesn't come up on search. My phone had the CE page open and refreshed it this morning and it's available to buy.

I got the CE after registering my standard retail edition, so I called Blizzard and they issued me with another standard edition key after I upgraded to CE whilst talking to the helpful CS chap. So it does work even if you didn't buy digital

No idea what class you are, but yeah ranged stuff is my biggest issue as a barb, but I tend to find that ancient spear aids me then. I tend to ignore the basic grunts on Act 3 and go straight for the shaman/prophet, as he'll just keep reviving the grunts.
Oddly, I think depending on class depends what act you'll have the most issues with. I had my biggest issue with Act 2 and those desert hornet things. (The ones that fired poison at you). They tended to come along in packs of 3, I couldn't grab all of them close, and they tended to turn up with other stuff, so whilst I was happily slugging into the stuff closest to me, they'd be doing quite a bit of damage, which in large groups caused me real issues. Act 3 on the other hand, as a barb, literally just gives me more stuff to smash through xD
Cliffy, you can't filter based on DPS, but everything's already ordered by DPS, so that's not an issues, you can do a minimum on +damage, but you have to choose which + damage (poison/fire/holy etc...) to filter, which can be slightly annoying...

I've only really played with the Wizard so far (not counting beta) and am near the end of Act 1 on Nightmare. I love the wizards abilities. Will probably carry on with him until the next difficulty level and then might try rolling a Demon Hunter or Witch Doctor.

Started playing this epic game yesterday,have a few questions;
1.Is there a way to highlight chests/bodies etc without moving the mouse over them?
2.What should I do with blue items,salvage,sell to merchants or sell to AH?
3.My ping yesterday evening was 270-320 but I had no lag/stuttering,is that normal?
4.I am level 10,just killed the Skeleton king and had around 12k gold so I went to the Blacksmith and paid him 10k to level him up.That was stupid of me,wasn't it?Now I have less than 2k gold

starmanwarz, i did the same as you. I want to keep the BS levelled as he does have nice items but compared to the prices on the AH i'm not sure it's entitrely worthwhile especially when the last 4 items i crafted off the BS had strength and not int.

You'll soon make that money back, plus you'll probably be buying upgrades for him in the long run anyway, he has some epic items late game.Hope this helps.
Doesn't seem so but you can filter based on level and if you limit it to rares you tend to find similar dps anyway.

Alt works for items only though,not for chests etc,or am I mistaken?I just don't want to miss gold/items in chests/armor racks etc.

and my lvl13 Wizard was eaten by about 8 tiny spiders
Before the lag, I was easily slaying hordes of 20+ spiders with a simple right click

It's not the only promise blizzard made that the open beta testing would help them cope with the official launch on the servers.
They also said items would be a lot more complex when in fact diablo 2's item system was much better.
I like diablo 3 but to me it feels MMO based with the cheesy 1 liners from the bosses, the exact same poly graphics as WOW and such.
It certainly could have been a lot better in my opinion.
