Unless you're level 60 that statement is kinda silly.

I keep forgetting how much of a jump it is from Act I to Act II on Normal. 500hp was plenty for Act I but practically everything in Act II hits for 50-100 damage easily. Vitality necessary :p

The jump on Inferno from Act 1 to 2 is insane, in act 1 I could take 2-3 hits, now I get 1 shot by everything. The highest damage I've been hit by was 65k which was by 1 of those snakes in the palace

Can I change to the American server, and change back to Europe when it's back up? Is is that simple?

I know I'll have to create a new char in Americas btw...

come back when you have gotten to hell - its a different ball game, i cruised through nightmare with my barbarian but dying a lot in hell.. the elites are insanely powerful and difficult to kill

Will do :P But I have found quite a few people complaining about Nightmare on barb, and I'm just thinking what's going on xD

I think Barb will be fine, people just need to farm the right gear for the job, Barb seems to be the most gear dependant for survivability of the lot however there are people successfully playing it in inferno.

Yes, but it's like starting from new again. So each region has it's own game basically. So I am about to test Monk on the 'Merica servers. Actually called 'Test' lol.

Yeah, I'm thinking this.

I know at some point I'm going to have to starting farming gear + gold to get through, but is that really an issue? It's just part of the game....

I did Nightmare Act 1 this morning (up to Skele king), and had 0 issues as a barb....

I don't have great gear, and I only stopped to kill anything blue/yellow/purple. Died maybe twice I think, and that was more due to the non-boss stuff around me.

For dealing with mobs so far, good crowd control works well. If you get a good few bits of non-boss stuff you can take out quite easy. I tend to stun, kill off the little things, which tends to generate some health orbs, I then only pick up the health orbs when I need them... and slowly whittle away at the bigger stuff.

Nightmare was easy really, wait until you get to Hell act III onwards or Inferno, you wont be doing so well as a Barbarian without good gear and a good defensive setup.. I stuck with it but if I'd known at the start what I know now I would have rolled something different tbh

I don't know why they are all crying in the barb forum , do they expect to walk straight into inferno without farming hell?

I am looking forward to the challenge.

I was expecting to farm quite a bit, but it seems many people just want to rush to inferno, every public group ive been in on hell difficulty, they've skipped so many mobs and areas, i try and tell people what is the point getting to inferno if you have **** gear.

I solo'ed WD fine on Nightmare. What skills are you using? Try changing your gear etc if it isn't working. Hell is another matter :).

I play in a 2 with a Monk and we handle most champion packs fine, even on Hell difficulty (which we killed Diablo with).

Currently on Act I Inferno and it's tough :)

Have you guys found any champ packs you haven't been able to kill on inferno? Playing a Monk / Barb duo and have managed to kill everything through hell, but some packs on inferno are an absolute brick wall.

I don't fault them for doing server maintenance. Anyone who has played it today knows the game was totally ****ed. Achievements weren't working for some. Others couldn't even see there characters. And there was a bizarre chat lag that seemed to take 20 seconds to display any message.

What amazes me is that a) it needed doing in the first place. They should have plenty of experience with WoW and what to expect/how to avoid it, and b) That there hasn't been ANY official word on the downtime at all.

It's part of the game, however a little annoying when that class is more gear dependant than a lot of others.

There's been a few posts now from Blizzard on the downtime.

Only just reached Act 2 before 2pm, and taking my time with barb and explore the maps/dungeons and really enjoying taking in the graphics artwork too! :)

Just want to get back to it now!
