Anyone else had issues with this game causing their pc to crash and restart ?

Never had a problem with any other games or applications - i7 920, 5870, 6Gb ram, 850w Cosrair psu , up to date drivers and cooling system working fine...
 
had the game 2 days now and not managed to actually play the game. Thinking about asking form my ££ back plus x number of hours of my time. **** like this reminds me why I always used to download games instead.

There's quite a bit of irony in this, somewhere....

I, too, am very annoyed at all the downtime, but you do realise that it's "downloading", at least in part, that has led them to use the always-on DRM system that is allowing these connection issues to be possible? It's a vicious circle. Steal games > get always-on DRM > can't connect sometimes > rage > steal games. Except now you can't steal games because this always-on DRM is clearly the way most if not all major games will be going, for better or worse (worse, but there you go...).

Well they did that in D2 and all it does is fracture the community in two. You had to have single player and multiplayer characters, it's far better to have them in one system. Sure there are some problems at the moment but Diablo 2 has had an active community for 12+ years, Diablo 3 has been out less than a week and 95% of that week it has been perfectly playable.

In the end you knew this game required you to be connected (and if you didn't perhaps you should read into a game before buying it)

Why do people keep questioning I didn't read? It's not my issue, or are you talking in general.

By the way, Better to have one system for who exactly? I play with 4-6 people, that's it, I coudln't give a rats about the other 3million or whatever people, SERIOUSLY.

It would be nice to have sp for those that want it, purely and simply for that reason. I don't care it doesn't.
 
Yupp same error 37 for me.

Blizzard ain't that bothered though, unlike WoW diablo has no monthly subscription so they've got theier money alrdy, so ain't as hard pressed as they are with WoW to keep things running.

And they probably made a lot less money since most people just signed up for the WoW annual pass to get the game free !
 
My views of the quality of the game have gone up as I've continued to play (I'd say somehwere between a 7 and 8/10) - but not being able to play (in ANY form, single or multi) on a Sunday evening is a complete JOKE

what with a family etc - my times to play are quite limited - and you expect to be able to play when you want to play ...

Stop moaning they're not just going to abandon the game now are they?

They'll keep bringing out patches and updates to fix things. They've not screwed us over intentionally. If anything these server errors are losing them money, making people not want to buy the game.
