Rottys comments were in reference to an incident where a player was found guilty of using racist language. It's nothing to do with how we talk to friends, he was downplaying and condoning via that the use of racist language.

I just typed **'s out, it's easier. I semi agree, that in black culture the word has been softened, but this doesn't mean it's ok to be used in the context it was nor downplayed and condoned.

In fact, I really don't want to continue posting as I can pretty much tell I'll get banned for speaking out against this.

Good, because we are fed up of your bigoted opinions against the moderation team.

I recall you claiming that NathWraith was a racist a few months back also. Next you will be calling Gandhi a racist!

What Rotty said wasn't racist, but it could be seen as offensive and I think that is Tummy's gripe.

I wasn't calling Rotty a racist, I asked him a question, if he's downplaying racist words. Does he find it acceptable to use them?

Which word are you talking about specifically? I read it as you mildly accusing Rotty of accepting racist views as fine. This isn't the first instance of this against the Mod Team!

Correct me if I'm wrong here (I probably am, I didn't pay too much attention to the incident)

I thought Suarez was banned because of the word he used but they judged that he didn't intend to be racist? Or am I completely wrong?

You just need to tread carefully, especially when discussing things like this, just like you took offence to Rotty's comment, they could take offence to some of yours, and they have the power to do something about it whereas you don't. Would be a shame to see you banned over this

By extension. If they're no similar to calling someone 'bald or short' would you not use them in every day use? To specifically speak to someone?

Downplaying and seeking to ignore the massive racist undertones that a word such as the n word has, is condoning racism. That's how I view it. You're making excuses for something that is in excusable. Imho.

I never take action in relation to anything said against me as that could be seen as being unfair, I would always refer it and then leave decisions to others
 
I think the whole problem here is that Tummy takes offense way to easily when somebody mentions anything that could even be related to race/colour/nationality/accent/big ears/funny looking hair/squinty eyes. Then twists this inside his own head to make it seem that the comment is specificially aimed at himself. He then gets rilled up and accuses people of things which are totally out of context.

I'm trying to tread carefully.

I took offence to what Rotty said, yeah, but I guess the second part is perfectly understandable too.

I don't mean this to come across in such a way. I'll stop posting.
