Saw Avengers for the second time on wednesday, just as awesome if not more so due to noticing more of the subtle jokes etc, then watched Never Back Down on the train last night (mainly for amber heard <3)
I normally hate Gervais, but he's nicely understated in this one. Plus, always nice to have a reason to look at Tea Leoni. Been in love with her since watching Deep Impact as a hormonal 18 year old.
Watching them both again recently, I found that Lock Stock was every bit as good as I remembered, but I thought Snatch seemed poorer in comparison.....maybe a bit forced. First time round I probably thought Snatch was better(just for the fight scene with ****in" in the bushes playing in the backgound) Epic scene!
The 3 black guys were hilarious. Brick Top was great and Brad Pitt truly showed that he is a fantastic actor by so easily slipping into a role of a type of person which he never would have even come across before.
I saw Snatch for the first time last week and thought it was great (8/10). However, it was soon eclipsed by "Snatch Wars" on youtube. For those who haven't seen it, it's a simply brillaint cut of Vader's classic scenes with Brick Top's vocals over the top. Literally had me crying with laughter.
I really enjoyed it. I didn't quite understand the ending but I did fall asleep (not 'cos I was bored, was just very tired!). So will have to watch it again.
From reading the Hunger Games a while ago you can definitely see which bits she pretty much copied in her books!
I really thought I'd enjoy this. I've been a fan of Ewan McGregor's work for a long time and Melanie Laurent's performance in Inglorious B******s was good but this really bored me. It felt like the director was being self-indulgent. Trying to be arty. A poor man's Wong Kar Wai. It's well acted I guess but the characters weren't very interesting and McGregor's horrible American accent is offputting. Avoid this.
