As someone who works on server side code for a games company, I really do feel sorry from Blizzard on this one. One tiny issue can cause massive issues when working on such a large scale (I'm working with about 1/5th the amount of users per day that blizzard gets, can imagine it being much much worse for them). This sort of issue is always going to happen with such large scale online games, hopefully after this patch generated issue they're going to be much smother in the futureI'll wait until it's stabilised before even trying, best not to get connected then be disconnected during play.
Blizzard clearly sitting with their thumbs up their **** for the last 12 years, certainly weren't thinking about how to get this game out in a good state...
I was woken by the 'sweet' sound of birds this morning... 6:30... I'm feeling quite hyper right now mind, so getting to bed early might not work..

sometimes, the only way to find a problem is for it to occur on a massive scale. there's no way to simulate several hundred thousand people updating and joining the game all at the same time in a development environment. they didn't ship with 'oh this should work' bits of code, they've been tested as much as humanly possible in the environment they develop in. Obviously, it's really annoying and I'm not going to defend them getting it this horribly wrong on multiple occasions, but they're not ignoring the problem, if anything they're working overtime to fix the problem. No proper feedback from the community team means nothing about what is actually being done by the people working to fix the issueIf they can't manage it after WoW, then why punish the end-user by forcing this awful system?
If you can't do something, don't "give it your best", charge someone for it then sit back and ignore the issue when the customer gets annoyed.
Awful to charge £45 for something that has an unreasonable amount of issues.
It does have a cooldown as well now..1 second. Just enough to stop it being spammable.
That said, its still a DHs most powerful ability. You can use it to soak boss abilities and break roots, as well as prevent reflect damage effects etc. Even at 1.5 seconds it will never ever be off my hotbar. I'm in Inferno Act IV btw, and have done Acts 2 and 3 post nerf.

You are? Thought servers went down. Though I did write that post almost 20 minutes ago and wandered off ><
